@jamessmith41722 ай бұрын
@@danielstockley5631That’s bad, but it’s essentially the same thing as planning a to shoot an unarmed robber. Maybe someone stealing from your house doesn’t deserve to be killed, but we all will look at it much much differently than just killing a rando. And DDOSing him is stealing from him, it’s making it impossible to make money, and I heard his son was a newborn at that time- so kinda important. Idk the whole story though, so don’t quote me on anything. From what I can tell, it does sound like Destiny’s situation was a lot more understandable than this guy…
@danielstockley56312 ай бұрын
@@jamessmith4172 An unarmed robber is a fair analogy given that it would feel violative to have your "cyberspace" intruded upon, a lesser version of having your actual home burgled. But even then, it's alarming how nonchalant you are about planning killing at least 2 people, unarmed burglars or not. Especially when he wasn't making it impossible for destiny to make money, just more difficult online (it would have been awful if the kid won and destiny went back to cleaning carpets but his son wouldn't have starved). I just don't see how you can rationalise planning to kill 2 people (getting the address, choosing the family members, getting a gun permit and weapon, looking at maps) being less severe than being an unsuccessful public services troll. There was always going to be little chance of removing kids who were not at risk and ZERO chance of deportation if their papers were in order. Norm's misdeeds then were presumptuousness, possibly based on race. Destiny showed homicidal intent lol. Also, when you look up Finkelstein vs (forget their surname) only one google result comes up. That's it. It's the court record that someone bought and emailed to destiny. I find that odd. They didn't speak to the media? Where are the harried victims of race prejudice? Wouldn't the pro- Israel advocates track them down and make him look as racist and evil as possible? It makes me wonder if there was any truth to his claims about fake medical practice and Russian organised crime. These claims were defamation per se and if wrong they would have easily won a case against Norm. But whatever claims were, were also dismissed with prejudice, both sides ordered to pay their own legal costs. The fact that this couple then vanished doesn't bode well for their visa status. In which case, don't live in someone's country illegally and draw attention to yourself. There isn't a single other example of him clashing with any other neighbour in over 20 years. Destiny's fans definitely put their blinkers on for this one.
@jamessmith41722 ай бұрын
Yeah, I mean objectively speaking I think what Destiny planned to do (but didn’t) is worse than what Finkelstein actually did. I’m with you on that. However, I also think Destiny’s actions were more understandable than Norm’s- in other words, Norm was being way more unhinged, even if what he was doing wasn’t as bad as what Destiny planned to do. And the unhinged-ness is actually relevant because it sheds light on why he seemed so crazy in the debate. Whether or not the woman actually had a fake medical license and all that, I have absolutely no clue. I don’t think we can infer anything just because we didn’t hear from them after the event.

norm sounds like an exhauster. i had a neighbour like norm who wanted to make every dog owner suffer for all the barking he had to endure. he would record videos of himself standing at the fence of my backyard or other neighbours' backyards, because he wanted to get proof that the dogs were insufferable. he's a stranger, so naturally the dogs would bark! he kept a time sheet, noting down every single instance of dog barks, 1 min 15 seconds, 12 mins, "3 and a half hours, intermittently". he would storm over onto other people's porches to tell them to shut their dogs up, even threatening to kick one straight into hell. he also wrote several letters to his "dear neighbours" and would tape them to our doors to express how unhappy he was to hear dogs barking while we are out at work/school. he also loved calling 311, lmao. one time when i was letting my dog out into the yard, my dog noticed this strange man, recording us silently. when i looked at him in shock, he said "yeah, just like that. perfect dog owner. just let the dog bark, like you always do." i asked him why he was doing this and he said pets are a "privilege, not a right. and i'm going to get yours taken away, you stupid little girl." corny villain dialogue. btw, i was 12 years old. it was outrageous. for reference, my family had lived there for ~6 years before he had moved into the neighbourhood. within less than a year, he moved out. my parents, like many of the people in the neighbourhood, were immigrants, this man was not. i had to go to a court hearing and everything, since my parents thought i would do a better job because i spoke english better than they did. we "lost" this hearing and forced to pay a fine, and given a "strike". this meant that if he complained about us specifically twice more, the authorities of the county or the city could forcibly remove our dog. he did this to at least 7 families, it was insane. and this man would rub it in our faces by playing obnoxiously loud, loop recordings of dog barks, on a stereo set up in his yard. for hours on end. anyway, i find it amusing now to hear a story about an internet person that so closely resembled my lived experience. many common plot points, just replace the child with a dog. wild! peace and love to you all.

@@virtuerse another good one. I'm sure he knew I was fucking with him but couldn't prove anything. The apt started to despise him and ignored all his stupid ass noise complaints. It’s amazing how much this situation mimics Israel-Palestine. People give the hypothetical of someone taking over your home and asking you to leave, but it’s really more like someone you don’t like moving into your British-managed apartment complex

My downstairs neighbor is similar but slightly less unhinged. He won't even look me in the eye out front but if I drop something or start walking too fast in my apartment he would bang on the walls and scream some sort of threat at me. Reported him to the office and recorded it and they threatened to evict him and it has completely ceased.

Yes, nothing screams "I won the debate" more than whatever the fuck this is. Now, if Norm is pathetic enough to respond, he'll just reply with videos of Destiny admitting to carrying out the early stages of a murder plot against a teenage boy and his Dad. Norm doesn't really need to though because he won the debate.

@danielstockley56312 ай бұрын
@@CR33SIVE You didn't watch it. Destiny was barely involved. The main points were settled, namely by concessions from Morris. Forced transfer WAS a major key to securing a zionist homeland. Transfer WAS then used against a population resisting invasion and "pARtiTiOn" at a time when even Destiny has admitted they had just cause for war. Defending your homeland is not "attacking" someone. Citing the law of the jungle (might is right) gets you Oct 7th. International law would have given a resolution (namely through a multinational peacekeeping force that disarmed both sides). The reason you would find that laughable is because the US establishment has, thanks to the Israel lobby, always made a real solution like the Balkans or Northern Ireland impossible. And you guys' hypocrisy is evident in the way you reject might is right when it comes to Russia peeling territory off Ukraine while sympathising with Israel doing the same in the West Bank and also trying to slice off Southern Lebanon to create a Christian nation state there from 1982-2000.

@@danielstockley5631I just got finished last night and you are clearly wrong. The way it usually goes was Destiny asks a question or pulls up a quote and Norm repeats something like "you are displaying your imbecility" without answering what Destiny says. Mousin would try but they usually brush it off unless Benny tries to snap back with substance. Norm was a petulant child in that conversation. He would always spark by saying something like I read this by the source at least 4 times let me quote 2 words that stood out from this 15 THOUSAND page entry that I read at least 3 times. I have the authority because I have read thousands of books. Norms entire argument was an appeal to authority, whether it was his because he was a scholar in the field for 500 years or the judges for the ICJ case or that was simply more read on the matter. That was Norm. He didn't didnt back up anything Mousin said and didn't even try to rebuttal anything Destiny said.

The lawsuit wasn't dismissed by a judge, it was settled out of court. Destiny read a boilerplate settleement agreement. Likely Finkelstein's lawyer talked sense into him after reading this response from the defendants. The couple likely were out ~$5K in legal fees here and didn't get any of that back in the settlement.

That little comment about 'No amount of carpets will fix this.' Indicates to me that the upstairs family spent their own money to put down carpets/rugs to help the situation. Meaning they're eminently reasonable people. If the situation was reversed Norm would demand the apartment pay for it. Honestly if a person is incapable of treating others with respect and civility at the first sign of problems then to me that is the LAST person who should be taken seriously trying to sort out the most divisive and nuanced problem of our age. Whatever academic authority and insight he once had has been ruined by him drinking the Kool-aid of the Left the same way Jordan Peterson has on the Right.
