There has never been a palestinian people. If there were than Jews who also lived there - just as Arabs - are also palestinians. The Philistines were an Aegean people - related to the Greeks and with no connection ethnically, linguistically, or historically at all with Arabia - they conquered the Mediterranean coastal plain that is now Gaza in the 12th Century BCE. Israel defeated the Philistines back then and drove them out of Gaza. The name Palestine was much later given to Israel by Roman Emperor Hadrian, who's occupation was responsible for several decrees that sought to crush the National identity and religious spirit of the Jews some time after Roman Emperor Titus smashed the Israeli resistance in the year 70. So ask yourself: where is the evidence that proves that there was an ancient palestinian State? Where are the old scroll that describes its history - in it mentioned old Kings, old Rulers, old Governments and Government buildings - where are the old cities, old coins, old ruins, old roads, old harbors ??? THEY CAN’T SHOW ANY OF THESE MENTIONED ARTIFACTS ! Israel on the other hand CAN show MILLIONS of mentioned history and artifacts that PROVE they belong there. It is islam that doesn't tolerate any other religion which is the root of all conflict. We are waiting for the return of Lord Yeshua / Jesus to bring about peace.

There was a recent one he did in a poetry cafe with Krystal Ball as moderator. It had me in tears. I watched the livestream but cannot seem to find it uploaded on YT. The man is simply brilliant. His morality leaves one in complete and utter awe. To add to the voices of others on this video, may Dr Norman Finkelstein live long enough to see Palestine free. I would add the same wish for Prof Ilan Pappè, Prof Avi Shlaim, Gideon Levy and others. The Palestinians are a blessed people to have these honourable men in their corner.

I'd venture caution about making absolute statements. I'm partway reading his book but to balance it I also have books by Benny Morris. His chapter on Operation Cast Lead failed to mention the fighting that precipitated it. Don't get me wrong, he is very compelling and very well-spoken (and written) but I think we need a preponderance of facts so that means reading multiple sources.
