This is definitely one of the most heartbreaking scenes for me, the part when Norman grabbed Norma's hand to comfort her really tugged on my heartstrings. It shows that Norman still had a somewhat sane part of himself.

Did you even pay attention? He was threatening to kill them and she told Norman to hide. She didn’t know he was under the bed. Her husband was raping her and Norman was scared and knew Sam was hurting her and he grabbed her hand to comfort both of them.

He's not *destroying* Anthony Perkins. Anthony Perkins was one of a kind. This is a rebooted show version of Psycho that plays differently than the movies. Is Anthony Hopkins destroyed because the Hannibal series with Mads Mikkelsen is different from the movies? Next to Henry Thomas from Psycho 4, I think Freddie Highmore does a decent job, but of course no one can out-do Perkins.
