Lemmo is so good that he doesn’t even need to flip the switch to the third position to get that third position tone. The guitar just knows, and routes the signal correctly for him.

This why I love Lemmo's videos; most people would have stuck with traditional jazz or rockabilly when demoing a Gretsch, but with Lemmo we get Depech Mode!

actually the third position on these sounds just like the first position, super muddy. They call those the mud switch on vintage Gretches

I thought he forgot to switch to third position , it wasn't just me , anyway it sounded great still , gretsch has a very distinctive tone , very unique , sort of steel strings on a metaI guitar , have one of those p/u's in a silvertone , doesn't sound quite as good but very different. Anyway great wacky wednesday , luv seeing all the cool guitars at Norms , such a cool place. thanks guys
