For a brief second, I thought he was about to play "Don't Let Him Go" by Gary Richrath of Reo...which got me thinking...I'd love to see him play some Richrath licks; I loved that guy's playing.

Just be nice to see what the tone & volume knobs can do occasionally. There is s rumour that on a Les Paul you can crank the amp up, but dial the guitar down for a clean tone.
@johnvmaguire56353 ай бұрын
It’s not a rumour but on any valve amp with any guitar you should be able turn the volume down on the guitar to clean up the sound when there crunch or gain on it

I love how he plays, just the perfect touch. You listen to him and you know this dude plays all day, its honestly inspiring. I wish he played a little more clean so i could hear just a hair better the guitar. Anyway amazing. Beautiful guitar and top
@patrickcollins68304 ай бұрын
You said it. It's hard to assess the guitar when it's not clean -- though the playing is great and you sure do get a grasp of how it rocks -- which is maybe where most users live? I'm guessing that Norm has great clout at Gibson -- as he should.

Just save for it, mate. Very reachable. You just have to want it enough. I saved for a decade to get my R8. I told myself I had to be good enough at guitar to justify the price. So I played the shit out of my Squier and set aside money every month. for 120 months. Which is still roughly $60 a month lol. But cut out the popeyes, booze and netflix, and just practice your geet!

Nice guitar but they are way overpriced, I just bought a 60's Les Paul in Trans Fuscia the top is insane, every angle it shows different stripes on the top, with all that being said, there's tool marks up n down the fretboard, when I plug in there's a loud hum through the amp then stops when I grab it, when I pay 3 grand for a hand built guitar the quality needs to be on par, with a PRS S2 there are no tool marks the electronics work perfectly, plus it's a thousand bucks less
@jcout2511 ай бұрын
Some people pay extra for tool marks hahaha! And it sounds like you got a grounding issue. Just pop open the back and take a look. Super easy to fix, dude. A multimeter will even tell you the exact place that isn't grounded. Then a dot of solder and you're set. All in less than 5 minutes. But you're right, you shouldn't NEED to do any of that.
