Using repel to trigger zone of control attacks is a really good way to use glass cannon units like the rats, because the triggering creature doesn't get to retaliate. As always, delightful video noro!

I've just played the Barony of Loth campaign. They are not you stereotypical necromancers. In fact they didn't understand how to raise dead or bind them to their service until their [spoiler] returns and even then they can't just animate any random corpse, it's more like sh*t had to be set up back in a previous age for them to use it now.

You can teleport (dimension door or chaos step) your ranged units without them getting the damage reduction. With a lot of arcana you can teleport in, snipe a unit then teleport out easily.

I think it was a mistake to push command so high that early. As you noticed, your Rupture didn't really do much more damage than Spear and that is because you need both Destruction and Arcana Magic to get the upgraded version, so Spear was level 3 and Rupture only level 1. Sure, command gives you a lot of essence, but you will hit like a wet noodle. Order Magic is btw really awesome on Marjatta. With both Arcana and Order, you can Strengthen Essence 3 units and generate TONS of essence by using it on Necromancer one stacks. Their Charge Essence ability will also generate double the essence when used under the effect of the buff, so you get 8 Arcana per Necromance which is completely insane and I expect that to be nerfed.

Yeah, command when you don't have the units to support it is really just an extra couple of essence in exchange for a full 10% extra offence or defence or stronger spells. You need to have a real good reason to pick command over that in the early game, like maybe you need that one extra essence to pull off a combo turn 1 or 2.

I remember we played this game a few months ago, I'm sure they reworked dragons but getting dragons at day 9-10 and no counter play was absurd lol. Most wielders are useless so its not immersive. Units should have special interactions depending on what wielder you have so it makes might wielders different. New sub spells only accessible to different wielders or passives with unit interactions or different buffs instead of just numerical passives which is lame.

at 1:04:11 you could've just click "withdraw" and split your stack, that way you can reach arcana storm earlier

Well, if you do something in campaign author didn't intend, you usually totally break AI Which is able to fight against you only because they are getting endless free armies anyway. This game style halfway between Heroes and Eador Genesis do not click with me, but its good they are still working on it.

40:26 that's all battle is epic fail. tip - you had to teleport on hill which is unreachable. so damn, I'm not even speaking about other annoying steps and decisions. can't watch more, thanks for sharing!

I'm one of the players who played this game when it was released and also a mid maxer and played this game to the max potential and the game needs a mountain massive amount of rework and the community who played this game to the full potential all left and won't return. Game is not balanced well and a lot of the wielders are useless mules, units or passives, spells are not unique enough and wielders feel the same with just minor differences and its a all in strategy type of game. Playing wide isn't the option.

The game looks fun but I wish they had gone with 4k crisp graphics rather than these 90s looking graphics. I get what they are trying to achieve but do not really like the style.

I think it's a cost thing. 90's looking graphics are a lot cheaper to generate than modern crisp 4k stuff, and they're a small studio expecting not to sell a ton of copies.

pixel graphics never get old either, proper done pixel stay decent FOREVER, gameplay allways trumps graphics. You can have the prettiest game in the world but if it plays like ass none is gonna stay with it.

@@Solus749 I think HoMM3 or Majesty still looks good but this low level of graphics is just too much, they went too far with this game. I see the quality of the art behind it, but it was a waste to make it so pixelfull. Sadly it looks like it become fashionable today to make poop looking games, but its a bad practice.
