Some say that those who commit suicide end up in Valhal because they were in a war with themselves, so it would make sense that those in battle with their bodies would also find themselves in the halls of Vahal! Tho that said, Folkvangr sounds more appealing to me, very beautiful and you aren't expecting to give your life fighting in Ragnarok at the end.

I know you do these for sleep (the calm sounds afterwards are great for that) but this is the best way to teach history. All my classmates always fell asleep in the first 5 mins of class, so nothing new, but history gives me severe anxiety (even though I deeply desire learning it) and your presentation really helps me learn and keep me relaxed and calm. You are very much appreciated. I know it wasn’t your original purpose but you’re meeting a different need in the world too. I hope you continue to prosper. Thank you for your work!

My father believes he was a Viking in one of his past lives. He’s always believed that and felt as if he knew what it felt to be one which is really cool. He’s part Scandinavian which means I am too, reading about Norse culture and the stories about their gods is so interesting. My mother thinks she was a shield maiden that fought aside with my father because they both feel like soulmates. It was love at first sight, they lived in the same area and worked at the same building, just a few floors apart from eachother. They both feel that they were together in a past life and that they fought together as Vikings. They watched the series Vikings multiple times and got me into watching it too. It’s so interesting with how they fought and how they survived back then. Learning the alphabet in runes stayed in my mind and I can pretty much read a full paragraph in runes! Being part Scandinavian is amazing and the fact that one of my ancestors could possibly be Ragnarok or Odin themselves gives me so much confidence and bravery. I really want to learn more about Norse and when I came across this video, it made me so happy that I could fall asleep to the stories about some of my ancestors and how they had to live. Thank you so much for this video❤️
@felixhenson9926 Жыл бұрын
Ragnarok isn't a person like Odin... so you can't rly say your ancestors were Ragnarok tho you could guess that some fought in it? I certainly doubt you were descended from Odin himself tho heh, that would be quite a stretch.
@hilda4032 Жыл бұрын
Actual swedish person here, you and your parents are weirdos….. how dare you compare yourself to Gods and justify it by saying you are ”part Scandinavian”, I’m all for appreciation but you are just weird and need to back off
@Val.Kyrie.11 ай бұрын
I’m descended from the saxons (first Vikings) in Germany on my German side, and the later Vikings from mixing after the invasions into England, on my English side. I believe I also have Swedish from my maternal line, through my grandmothers father. It was mentioned only once in passing. If you have the right bloodline, Germanic, or from a known mixed english area, or are Scandinavian, then you have Viking blood. (Almost?) everyone in Scandinavia is Viking. It’s not some mythical thing in the past, they were real people and conquered areas, plundered, settled, taxed. What you wouldn’t know is what specifically your ancestors were. I’d suggest reading what the Roman’s said about the Germanic people they interacted with and see if it describes your family. I was nearly laughing as they may as well have been describing my dad, myself and my elder son.

I watch these videos during the day as well as night because, at night, I fall asleep after 20 minutes usually :) Thank you so much Marie, for everything. Would you ever consider doing some videos about some very famous, wealthy families like the one who Vanderbilts, The Rothschilds, The Romanovs etc. Another cool guy was the richest man, on earth once too. He was the King Mansa Musa of Ethiopia. One time, he spent and shared, so much gold in Cairo that he bankrupted their economy! It took them almost 10 years to stabilise their economy after that. It's said, that he even offered to buy back some of their gold, to help them. It is also said, that his travelling caravans were so long, that you couldn't see the end of them, with the naked eye! In other words, he had so many helpers, trunks of clothing, foods, gold etc that, they were miles long! His story is fascinating. Another thing I came across recently was the ancient Empire of Silla from South Korea. It lasted over 900 years and is the longest recorded empire, in the world. I never heard of that Empire. I was googling to - Empires of Asia and that was one, that came up. I was wondering if you had heard of it. It became very rich because of its 'association with the Silk Road. Thank you for everything. You're voice helps to ease my anxiety and puts me to sleep, every night. God bless, stay safe, much love from Ireland xx
