I think the "chemistry" thing was a joke about the Vikings' lack of scientific understanding. They had poetry and literature, albeit verbal, but they did not have science like that of the Romans and Mediterraneans.

I was looking for more of your reaction of this serie, but couldnt find any. you should go through the 3 seasons, they're epic especially when Jarl Varg shows up! if you pick this serie back up for reaction im 100% going to subscribe, it was a delight to see it with you^^,
