I live near Mt. Rushmore and am a fan of North By Northwest. Much of what we see in the movie no longer exists because of the remodeling and updating of the buildings and parking areas. I vividly recall how it was in the past and often watch the movie to rekindle the way it was. Like shaving the old way, it is a nice return to the past. Thanks for the memories Ken. BTW, I am binge watching past shaving videos as I continue to remain at home recovering from a severe back injury. Ken, you help me pleasantly pass the time. And, then I go and shave again regardless if I need one or not. I used to shave once a week. Now it is three times a week.

Arko is a great soap. Very slick and easy to lather. Dries the skin a little but that is ok. Man, 90 cent for 50 gramm here in Germany in Turkish shops, who will complain? I like the scent too! Great shave! Wishing you a merry Christmas!

The look on your face at the first wiff of arko was hilarious. I searched arko reviews because I used arko for the first time tonight. I was ALWAYS going to try arko, regardless of what the reviews said. I am a relatively new wet shaver and I know to pay homage to arko. When I used to arko tonight I was IMPRESSED. The lather and slickness was as good or better than most of the ELITE soaps. The scent isn't terrible and I will get used to. If they had ARKO UNSCENTED, that is allI would ever use.

The scent fades over time... if you got more than one stick just unwrap them and put them in a card box then place it in a well ventilated (and dry) area... then all that will be left after a few weeks is a quite pleasant citronella scent. I think they "overdose" it for exactly that reason - in Turkey/Mediterranean countries this scent is associated with cleanliness.

I started this video and my granddaughter said, “Who’s Carry Grant?” So we are now watching North by Northwest. It’s one of our favorite Hitchcock movies. Rear Window, Vertigo, The ManWho Knew Too Much...I could go on and on with the Hitchcock movies we love. Kaplan/Thornhill was always one of our favorite characters. BTW, Mr Kaplan was also one of the characters in Blacklist on RV, but Mr was a she. I wonder where you would get blades for Eve Kendal’s tiny razor?

Happy Holidays Ken. I had a Gillette travel razor and always packed it in the Dopp kit when traveling. Anything to save space in those bags is worthwhile. On the other end of the spectrum, we'd be taking a weekend trip in state, and the wife would pack like we were going to Europe for a month. I guess it's a woman thing haha

I have the same razor but a 1070. It is a very mild razor. Its just a Tech with a short handle. If you can use a mild razor then they are great. Very smooth and a lot cheaper than new razors.
