North Carolina Elk Photography

North Carolina Elk Photography from the fall of 2018. My wife & I traveled to Cherokee to see and photograph the elk. We had a hell of a trip and got some fantastic images. The plan was to document the elk crossing the river. The mission was a success! We photographed elk crossing the river every day we were there. Please watch & share with your friends if you like.

Must've been a repop program , never heard of them there .. a few in north central lower Michigan not many east of Mississippi always thought. Only so much food for so many elk along with deer and 150 plus years of habitat loss , minimal snow pack i guess helps .nice video. They naturally cautious from wolf evolved survival instincts It seems .

They used to come over to Oconaluftee to eat the Sorghum that grew there. The path where you saw those Elk come out of into the creek goes all the way back up to Cataloochee if you cross that creek. Can walk it for miles.

Just came back from cades cove and on my way back I saw 2 families of elk right beside the oconluftee visitor center
