I was raised in corpus, from age 5 to 22 then left never went back. I lived out in Callallen, went to all 3 schools , we would always hit the beach and head towards Little Shell Big Shell .me an a truck full of friends and girls . Alot of beer . We would shark fish at night . The way we did it was pretty stupid ..I would get on a surf board and paddle the big chunk of bloody nast bait dripping blood all the way out passed the second sand bar real far out . Then throw it as far as I could then haul ass back to shore . Scary way to do it . But it was a way to get the bait way out there. We would on our way to the beach scoop up road kill and use that for bait to . Worked good . Caught my biggest one off of 2 rabbits . Man I was thinking back to those good times and thawt sombody must have a video of driving down that way . And I found yours. Spent alot of time out there years ago.. also i used to drive over by the refineries the ship channel. Good fishing over there . I bet they stopped letting people drive back up in there these days . Literally right next to huge parked ships . Anyways thanks for memory Lane 🖐🏼

Sometimes the beach does get loose sand if not much rain has fallen or been no very high tides.

Oh I forgot . Back in the day where you are heading there was a spot the public didnt know about . You cant see over the sand dunes . We notice some tire tracks heading over alot but in real tight formations like driving in each others tracks.. curious we flew over the dunes and our Jaws hit the floorboard. That was the day we found the Hidden Nude Beach. Man we had our windows down friends all in the back of the truck beers in all our hands. They was so nice men and women come on out park over there . I said let's check it out . We dont have to drop our drawers I'm sure . First time and all. Ya it was realy awkward. Glad I had sunglasses on cus their was some very pretty chicks out there . And alot there had to have been 30 to 40 people . Laid out butt naked . We talked to them for about 10 min . And got out . Never went back . That life style is an uncomfortable one unless your hung like a horse . I'd bee to embarrassed . Did you know that was there ? Not many do . This was in the 90s. Surely its changed today . I dont see them keeping that going 40 somthing years top secret . And the planes and helicopters have to have seen it . The cops flew choppers all the time . I just thought about that . Hmmm

Can you make it with FWD or do you need AWD?
@robertstout2603 жыл бұрын
Can make it in 2 wheel ,front or rear drive,just dont cross over big ruts like that car.From the national sea shore can go about 10-15 miles then need 4 wheel drive to go the rest 50 miles.Just watch out if tides are real high ,or lots of loose sand.

@@robertstout260 Bummer. Thanks for the reply though! Intake the family to south Padre every year, wanted to do a little fishing this time. I never seen the rangers mess with anybody which is why I asked. Just thought maybe they wouldn't bug me lol. We're just planning on catching and releasing, so i shouldn't need the endorsement right?
