Wow, that total was crazy high. I'm in North Carolina, our prices have been going up lately but nothing like that. I'm going to stop complaining. I love watching you guys and seeing life in Alaska. I had a layover in Alaska back in 1989 as I was on my way to Japan. I fell in love with the night sky. I've been wanting to get back there ever since. Until then, I'll just live through you guys. I Honestly thought the groceries would cost so much more. In comparison to here in Victoria Australia it's pretty Good. We use to have Safeway now it's called Woolies. Are you serious 11pm and it's daylight omg my brain can't comprehend that. I'm going through your old video's to find living in Snow, Blizzards, as I adore Winter, Alaska, Snow which I have never Seen touched or experienced. I'm allergic to Sunlight, Heat, Humidity. So Winter is my Favourite time of year. Are you close to Nome Alaska, I watched A documentary about Nome and the shopping prices were astronomical. Thank you for this video. I was actually surprised at the total price from Safeway. I live in Los Angeles and I don’t think it would of cost that much? I think more like $150 at most? We do have farmers markets. They are the best! Thank you for sharing your shopping videos. Interesting.

I was looking at the prices while you were shopping and I would say it’s about $1 to $2 more. Although I don’t buy the Keto stuff lol I stick to what’s on sale and the store brands to make it through the Month for my family of 4.

Wait, what? My family traveled to Florida every year for the winter when I was growing up. I always wanted to move down there but was told how expensive it was, especially groceries. Now your saying these prices (which are close to what I pay here in ohio) are that much more expensive than Florida.... my whole life is a lie! Lol.

I have been, and am still contemplating moving to Anchorage, and while it's probably a bit different from North Pole, your videos have been very informative in that regard. I have a few different autoimmune issues, so I don't think I could physically do the Middle Sun Run, but could I sponsor other runners or something else connected to it?

I grew up in Anchorage..1972-2006..left when my MIL had a brain aneurysm..been in Utah since..we have been talking about moving back for a bit..one thing you don't want to do is move there with no job and no place to live..then try finding doctors before also..my doctor just retired so I would be in that boat also. Then if you really decided to move..go up in May/ June that way you have all summer and fall to get acclimated for winter. Fingers crossed for you!!
