I remember around the time of this movie there was a guy in town who was about 40 years and skateboarded. People would just stare and say things like “did you see that old guy skating over there.”It was totally unusual. I think Tony hawk is like 50 now.

I saw it open when I was a kid already surfing, skimboarding, skateboarding. Jax bch in FL where I grew up. The swells from Fernandina down to NSB are killer ONLY around Aug to Oct if there's a Hurricane 1000 miles away. It really cranks up. I got asigned Schofield barracks Hawaii..oahu..as a Captain in 2013. My lifelong dream. I was going to get a place on the North Shore. And then my orders were rescinded. Anyways love this flick. Got it on DVD. SAW IT ON THE BIGSCREEN IN WHAT? 87?? IM 47 NOW.

One of greatest movies ever in my opinion. “It’s an old mans board chandler.” I freakin loved laird in this movie. He played such a good tournament driven. . A-hole. I also like seeing young Occy. Watch this all the time.
