Now this commission was criticized because it used 2011 census hence to reduce the stress commission had increased the weitage of demographic performance index from 6% to 13% . They also introduced a new term called tax effort to commertiate states with proper taxation ,it benefitted tamilnadu but in turn led to loss for other south states hence centre issued special funds for states like karnataka , telengana and mizoram. So simply you can't say centre hates south infact it can't even afford to since good amount of indian industries are in south. However if still funds fell short definitely it might be mistake of your mp s to raise more voice for more funds! And please kindly see the allocation of gov to be states it's definitely higher than what they pay . Infact states like nagaland , mizoram , manipur and arunachal are excluded from taxation.

I had faced much discrimination in Northern states like UP, Bihar......... I had faced discrimination due to my facial structure (cause Am from a small northeastern state, Tripura) ........ But I have never faced discrimination in Southern states like AP, TN, Kerala and Karnataka........ I have been there for about 6 times and since, then I totally fell in love with South Indian culture.......... All the people are down to earth...... They respected me and even saved me from a horrific incident that took place during the time when I was in Andhrapradesh (Hyderabad, now Telangana). ......... When I was in my hotel room, A sudden fire broke out in due to an unknown cause...... I was much petrified at that moment and didn't know what to do (as I was a little kid at the time this incident happened to me) ....... At that very instant a Telugu guy of about 21 years of age , jumped into the fire without any safety measures and saved me.......... From that very instant, I believed that South indians are much more down to earth and honest

If all tuluites , Konkana , kodava etc Make language as ultimate pride Karnataka will be in bits and pieces . You should learn from the uttara kannada and dakshina kannada how to live beyond languages as an indian first . Most people In DK district speak 2 or three languages . They make any outsider comfortable by speaking to them in the language they know rather the insisting on their mother tongue or common language . Although Tulu has its own script people don’t make a issue learning kannada and using kannada script in schools . Learning more languages is seen as pride here rather then making one common language as priority . This is the reason the people of this region even in earlier days were able to migrate to different parts of India and the world and excel wherever they went . For the simple factor that they are more accommodating , accepting and are open minded in their approach. If you visit Hyderabad old city it would be helpful for you to know hindi/urdu. Many of the muslim folks in Hyderabad struggle to speak telugu. Whereas as Andhra Muslims speak perfect telugu.

I went to lulu mall and wanted to have a juice. The guy at the counter was wearing a namaz topi. My natural tendency was to speak in urdu. He stared at me with a blank face and started talking in Malayalam. That's when I realized the difference between Malayali or AP muslims and Telangana muslims.

As south indian we are very sensitive and proud about our mother languages. We are protective of our history and heritage. We do not like and tolerate any kind of aggression towards our languages and history. Do not impose hindi on us period. If you give us as optional then we are open to learn other languages. because we know what happened to local languages of UP, MP and bihar all of them were dominated by local languages now after the advent of hindi all local languages diminished. exactly why we don't want hindi.
