Thanks for the video!! Makes me feel better about my purchase. Just ordered mine for $699 as well. On sale from $999. I'm picking it up from the store ad well tomorrow. I also got a surface cleaner. It's a 20" that was $409.

Mine worked great till I ran the pump dry. I replaced the pump with an upgraded pump for $400. That machine made me over $30k. I just sold it to a new guy the other day for $350! Still running great! Just keep clean oil in it and don't run the pump dry.
@mikeholland13093 жыл бұрын
@@doitallgaragetx Good to hear!! I'm looking forward to using it and making money as well. By running the pump dry do you mean running it without water running to it or from a water supply that couldn't keep up with it?
@doitallgaragetx3 жыл бұрын
@@mikeholland1309 hooked it up to a water hose and forgot to turn on the water......several times. I never ran it off of a water tank. Should only do that with belt drive machines.

@@doitallgaragetx I see. Gotcha. I've done that too a few times with an old Briggs and Stratton pressure washer I have. Fortunately it didn't ruin the pump. I think that pressure washer as far as I can remember is 15 yrs. old or more and still works great. But it's only 2550 psi. 2.5 gpm about like your old Troy Bilt you mentioned.

I added non detergent oil in the engine and been using it for about 5 months and was wondering if I should add the 10w-30 next oil change. Machine been running good no problems.

Yes, it is removable. I sold it to a guy a few months ago who was transporting it in an suv.

Nice review, thanks. How's it doing over time? I just get the 4400 4.2 GPM on sale for $599. It looks very similar to the Predator at Harbor Freight, but $300 cheaper with this sale. Also, 2 year versus 90 day warrantee. Hoping I made the right choice.

@jwortner i sold it after 2yrs. Put a new pump on it before I sold it. Was still running great

Did you have to add oil in yours at first to get it to crank? I know my pump has oil in it but I believe the pump oil and engine oil are separate right? New to pressure washers and a tad confused.
@doitallgaragetx Жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't remember. It was yrs ago. However, if you aren't sure, you can take the machine to a small engine shop and ask them to check the fluids. They'll probably show you how to do it as well

Good looking machine brother. How’s it been treating you?
@doitallgaragetx Жыл бұрын
It was a good machine. Original pump burned up after about 18 months, but that was probably my fault from dry starting one too many times. I sold it about 2 yrs ago. It was still running great when I sold it.

Nice presentation Dennis, Northern Tool and Powerhouse need to kick you down some scratch for this one. I'd leave the plastic wheels on it. I get so sick of putting air in those smaller pneumatic tires. They always seem to leak on me. I took them off of my emer genny and put some nice hard rubber ones on it. That sucker is pushing 200lbs. The receiver hitch carrier idea sounds like a good one too. Just make sure you have a good lock/chain on it so some Jackwagon doesn't run of with it.

It worked well for me. Used it ~2yrs and sold it still running great. I did have have to replace the pump at about 16 months, but that was probably my fault from accidentally dry starting it too many times. If you are planning to carry it in/out of a truck, you will need ramps because it's heavy. Good luck! Check out my pressure washing channel: Clean industries pressure washing.

Glad to hear you bit the bullet on the power washer. Use Stabil fuel treatment and you will never have fuel related issues. I'm a believer fo small engine treatment. Going out this evening for day three on a side hustle. At $40.00 an hour I couldn't pass it up.

Very nicely done report. I am looking at this unit myself and since it is now October 2020, have you had any issues with it since this report was done? You mentioned that you are going to use if for making some extra money, so how often do you use it? Thanks in advance.
@doitallgaragetx4 жыл бұрын
Bought it July of 19. Still using it. I did have to replace the pump at 1 yr. Not sure what was wrong with it, but bought an upgraded pump for $350 and drove straight to an $1150 job. There are better machines out there, but this is the best in its price range in my opinion! Get a belt drive unit if you can afford it.

Great vid. I love mine. Can you speak on that "thermal protector" they call it in the Manuel? That valve to the left of the water inlet on the pump. I been playing around with mine but what does it actually do?

Northern Tool has the psi gauge for $30. Pop that on the water outlet. That gauge plus the unloader pressure adjustment knob will dail you right in every time 👍.

@doitallgaragetx3 жыл бұрын
I just saw them advertised for $1000. I wouldn't pay that much for it. If you get a downstream injector, it will pull chem. You can get a belt drive machine for around $1k-1500. I'd go that route.
