my last run on rogue legacy (I had a go before I watched this because seeing the name randomly made me want to play it) I earned 28k gold half of that came from one of those gambling rooms where you have to open one in three chests 8k of it came from beating the forest boss and the other 6k came from getting to the boss.. so the amount you earn goes up A LOT

I understand this video is old but, the P.A.D. stops you from tripping the floor spikes, there is usually a teleporter before a new area, and you can reach the one on the left of your upgrade screen by going to the one directly right of it and kitting left

Northernlion, the P.A.D may is the reason why no spikes were activated because you had no blood pulse in your feet meaning the spikes couldn't detect you.

It's pretty cool that Charon stands guard to the castle, and you have to pay him to get inside. To those that don't know, Charon was, in Roman mythology, the ferrier of the underworld. When someone died, citizens would place a coin in their mouth to pay for a crossing of the River Styx. Charon would take it and give them passage to the underworld. :D

If you are wondering, the last heir you played had PAD (Peripheral Artery Disease), making you have no foot pulse, this allows you to walk across pressure plates without triggering them.

There's a tip in the game that says the spike traps use heartbeat to differentiate between the living and undead. So no foot pulse means that there is no heartbeat there. Also explains why enemies do not trigger them.

The P.A.D trait was what was keeping the spikes from triggering in your second-last run. If you pick someone with P.A.D as a trait you wont get impaled by spring spikes. Also, Charon pronounced "Ka-ron" not "tsjha-ron". Its the ferryman between the land of the dead and the land of the living in greek mythos

I like how you rush through picking the next legacy all while giving it minimal reading/view time. Especially when it's followed by the dialogue, "I have no idea what this does for us." /sarcasm No clue about anything in this game, as I've not played it, but based on actually reading the description of P.A.D, I'd assume you can walk on spikes without a problem...

There's a good chunk of things that do just about nothing, or nothing worth mentioning. Like the tendency to exaggerate; instead of telling you how much damage an attack did to you, it just says numbers like 1,245. On the inverse, P.A.D. totally breaks one of the later bosses, since the most damage he'll do to you is the spike traps around the room; since he's huge and slow.

Make sure you look out for secret rooms, NL - If a part of a floor is darker, it means you can jump down and find secrets. If it looks like you can't find anything, try pressing up.

A good combo for the first boss is the paladin with chakram. If the boss fires out anything hard to dodge you block and when it is cooling down you spam the hell out of the chakram.

I chuckled when I saw you attempt one of the hardest fairy chest challenges in the game with a giant character. I lost like ten characters to that room and eventually concluded that I could not beat it without multiple flight runes even after I'd hundred-percented the game.

I once massed up like 40000 gold because I managed to hit 3 bosses in one run and was in like NG++ and also had 5/5 extra gold found kind of thing. I decided to gamble half of it and scored SO much money out of it. Diamonds rained out for a good minute.

PAD makes it so that none of the floor spike traps trigger, so its a good trait to get for certain fairy chest rooms and castle layouts with a lot of spike traps if you so choose to lock your layout if you know where a fairy chest is that you want to try to get that you couldn't on your last character, or in some cases you may want to lock to that layout even without PAD in hopes to get a PAD character sooner rather then later on multiple attempts at the same layout.

If you didn't notice NL, the "No pulse in your feet" thing causes the spikes to never come up when you stand on them.
