yeah, but at least you can go for other unlocks while doing it and not have to grind out very specific conditions. It's also not too hard to force if you just go hard on shops for mom's box of trinkets and charge related items.

Well it is 50/50 every time, so it is possible to go 10 runs in a row without seeing it. You could also see it every time. It's possible. I have knocked mega-Satan an Delirium out on the same run with a few characters. Very satisfying when you are extremely overpowered. :)

Beating Mega-Satan gives you a 50/50 chance to spawn a Void portal. It either goes straight to the cut scene, or if you see a Chest spawn you know that the Void portal has also spawned.

NL you got extra damage in the Mega Satan Fight from Adrenaline; it gives you a damage upgrade for each empty red heart container you have. Sad you don't know this because it's such a good combo with Bloody Lust.

Controversial Statement: NL, the REAL dumb play on your first run, wasn't taking Curse of the Tower. It was taking Empty Vessel. There's any number of common items to solve the CotT issue (Safety Scissors, Pyro, Host Hat to name a few), but Samson needs Red Heart containers to thrive. You really don't want to activate Empty Vessel. That aside, I'm actually glad you died on the first run, because it would have ended up being way more boring than your average Samson/IV Bag run.
