Still nowhere near as bad as passing up cloak when he had rocket boots to upgrade the cloak to 2 seconds of haste just so he could keep around some useless slow "friends" with friends like those who needs enemies!

I think you generally undervalue shadowed cloak, but especially so in this run. Shadowed cloak sell boots would have perma-hasted the dog as soon as it fired once and given it a small damage boost each time.
