I once sat and waited over 2 hours after the appointment time for an interview that they "just didn't get around to" should I bill them? Actually there's a case to be made that I'd be more justified in billing the employer in that case than an employer billing an interviewee.

RE: Charging the dude for the interview That sets a pretty terrible precedent. What are they gonna do, start charging everyone they interview that doesn't work out? I agree that the point of the interview is to see just how qualified the person really is and charging the person you interviewed because they weren't what you were expecting is just scummy.

NL, the keeper is one of the best characters for self-sacrifice room plays. Just don't pick up the money you get from the wooden nickel, and you'll easily get the nine pennies needed to play it. Self sacrifice rooms are actually one of the best ways to get a good run on the keeper.

What I don't understand is if it's your JOB to interview someone trying to get a job they aren't qualified for, you're already getting paid. Charging this person for wasting your time (which is being paid for anyways, and there are many jobs out there that have their time wasted for the most trivial things), then charging for that time on this person is pure greed. Yes that guy lied and wasted time which is scummy, but charging for something like that is even more scummy.

If you think Breath of Life is garbage, try using it as Lost. The ability to play Demon Judgements, Blood Banks, and enter curse rooms is huge. Back in the day, giving pre-buff Lost a cracked die and Breath of Life was my favourite fix. These days, super-spammy and telefragging enemies make Holy Mantle a necessary, but I'd honestly still take Breath of Life over D4.

So I take a similar stance here with NL. If a person applies for a job, makes it op the interview (I mean don't people fact check a resume or call a listed reference before interviewing anymore?) it is totally the burden of the company conducting the interview to be diligent and recognize an applicants qualifications or lack thereof. I mean assuming this was a company with an HR department, billing an applicant for the time of your HR personnel is ludicrous...you pay the HR people to do exactly what they did: determine his qualifications and accept or reject him. I mean this is just 1 step away from billing anyone who applies for a job, accepted or rejected, just for the privilege of saying you had an interview (I think Apple did this at one point).

I think the whole "billing the interviewee for wasting their time" is outrageous. If you're going to be billed for something, or even have the chance to be billed for something, it should be clear, not just something they throw at you out of nowhere. It is not established that interviews are billable things. It'd be like a friend saying "do you want a doughnut?" while handing you a doughnut and then after you eat it they just say "by the way, that will be $2". I took the doughnut under the assumption that it would be free.

I once tried to apply to a company that wanted me to take a 2-hour "simulation" of the job before I was allowed to submit the application. Far as I'm concerned, screw them. My time isn't worth hoops like that just to get their attention. No employer can reasonably expect the applicant to be liable for the time spent on seeking a job listing.
