5:06- Could be the adjusting screw from an adjustable spanner/ monkey wrench. 25:46- The escutcheon plate, recast in metal would be a fantastic piece of jewelry if you added around its circumference " Do You Have The key To My Heart?".

It's no from a spanner because it's made of brass. We no believe it's whats called a 'worm gear' 😊 And a lovely idea for a piece of jewellery! x

@@NorthernMudlarks I agree it's a worm gear, but did you know they made brass and brass alloy wrenches? They were used where their was a danger of a spark causing an explosion. Still in use today. Somewhere in the numerous piles of hand tools I have an open end one I bought as a collectable 40-50 years ago

All those brass and copper bits are interesting. I am in a landlocked area and don't travel far so I have to pull treasure out of a dumpster.I do find old brass bits, and very occasionally something made of copper. Your ships nails even look nice when they are polished up!

Some fascinating finds there. There is a simple way to check for silver content using tin foil and a little water. Wet the foil, and rub on the object, if it smells of rotten eggs (and usually gets warm or even hot) then its silver!! Happy hunting!

I believe that some of the musket balls were grape shot. They would be fired from cannons on ships or on the shore defenses. The screw looking thing is a worm for running cloth patches through a muzzle loading rifle.👍☮️

I watch a lot of gold prospectors videos. Know that a great indicator of gold is heavy metal objects just like you found. Also black sands and ironstone deposits. The gold will be the heaviest, so will be beneath everything else. If the silver coins you find are too worn to see anything, do you melt them down for the silver content? That gold nugget you found will make a great pendant or ring!!! Congrats!!
