My 9 year old grandson and I LOVE seaglass. We live on the east coast USA. His family in Delaware and my husband and I in Williamsburg, VA. We do not have any luck on the beaches here and have to buy our glass from collectors at craft fairs. We would LOVE having an adventure like yours. It's great to see you ladies back in action at the beach this Sunday afternoon. I'm inside enjoying my AC, watching the two of you collecting pretty bits and baubles of seaglass and sea pottery, waiting until the temperature cools down to less than 90° F (it's going to be a while) so I can get out to visit my dad. If he were forty or so years younger, he'd love to be bottle digging / hunting treasures with y'all. As it stands, he celebrated his 92nd birthday a couple of weeks ago.

Unless someone has lived on the Great Lakes I doubt they would would understand how seaglass could possibly be washing up on a lakeshore. The first time I saw 10 ft waves on Lake Erie, I was dumbfounded.

I went to Myrtle Beach in South Carolina last year and as I stood on the eastern shore I thought of you two. I wondered if you were on your shore looking back at me.
