My husband served 20 years in the Army Infantry. He was in Berlin, on the Iron Curtain twice, and served in Desert Storm on Highway 8 to Bashara. We military families are so very lucky to have such brave and honored men to call kin. I would like to vote for the blue eyed dolls head. Such blue eyes.

If your 93 year-old grandma is still able, it would be amazing to hear some of her stories. Perhaps you could bring her some items from the past that you've found and ask her to talk about them? I just love hearing history from the people who were there. Just a thought! Love you guys.

There's surely no competition this week for the shelf item. In honour of all those that gave so much, let it be the be cap badge. I love the fact you know your family history and are able to pass it on to those that follow in their footsteps generations later. With photos too. The other items you found at high tide, were wonderful and some deserving of queing for the shelf, but theres only room for so many. That dolls face was fab, with its pure blue eyes. Poor little thing needs some new pupils and she will be perfect....some hair too, don't forget. I hope to see you put her together again one day. It always amazes me the beads you find. Teeny tiny jeweled pops of colour, which look lovely all strung together. Some are so unusual and you probably would not be able to tell just how old some of them really are. Its also a shock to see glass items survive so well. The crystal chandelier droplet....how did that survive in such good condition. A very enjoyable lark as always ladies. Thanks.

@@NorthernMudlarks You've taken us all on yet another grand adventure today ladies. Loved all the finds. Did you ever discover whether or not the one bead was uranium glass? My vote (s) for the windowsill of wonders are the border regiment cap badge [btw, is it silver?], the unusual clay pipe with the figures, and the Miner's paint on stockings. Greetings to you from me here in North Carolina, USA! Take care and lark on!

Thank you for such a fascinating video. I think there must be a Mudlarking Demi God who smiles upon you, as you always seem to find such gorgeous little treasures. The “Miners” makeup I’m sure I remember from my teenage years - the 1970s. I’ve been reading up on mudlarking, both historical and contemporary, it’s such an interesting subject. I think if it makes you delve into history and especially your own family history, it’s an invaluable pastime- even occupation. You give me a tiny dose of home each time I watch, thank you. I still get so envious of your finds… I may need to add an extra week or two onto a Scottish home visit in 2023 so that I can devote it to treasure hunting - my family will just have to find something else to do….👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️

I'm new to your channel, but have been doing my best to catch up over the past few weeks...so inspiring on so many levels! I woke up in the wee hours of the morning with 3 ideas for the magnificent 'stopple boppers' (not sure I spelled that right) 😁no doubt you have thought of these ideas or other fans/followers/friends have suggested them...hope it's okay to share! Shear off the points and drill two small holes, top and bottom, and (1) string them with thick monofilament line, then attach them to one of your large glass jar lids for wind chimes! or (2) string them into indoor beaded curtains! Either could include some of your wonderful colored glass shards or the lovely shards of china/pottery, and finally (3) use clear epoxy to glue them into windows or glass doors, for privacy glass or just for the beauty. Thank you for being so inspiring....now for a nap. 😂

I have to admit I miss the way you used to go through your finds I find myself now pausing the video to get a better look at everything. I know that the video would be hours long and lots of editing to record ever single find so at the end I like to see the whole lot together and see it all glistening in the 🌞. Hi there, Ladies. Your porcelain doorknobs were imitating a couple of very Cool mushrooms with morning dew upon their caps, don't yah think? ( : Looks like the guy on the clay football pipe is wearing a pack of sorts, on his back, which is attached to a harness? Prisoners? The reflectors always draw my attention, especially a red one. Some really super finds. Good thinking, Gail. Now you know that whatever the tide may be, that it shouldn't be a great concern (except for certain areas of high-tide danger, such as on The Thames). As you mentioned, being there when you were, forced you to look in areas you wouldn't ordinarily have looked, thus finding a new layer to the Mama Earth's treasure chest, so to speak. There is a channel holder that makes sculptors from metal bits. I saw a rooster he made, using wrenches, nails, twisted, curly bits for the top notch and tail feathers. That got me thinking, if you took that melted, brown glass with the stopper in it, all you need do is add a top notch, tail feathers and a beak to give a peck of approval, made of any of your finds and I'd say you'd have yourself a very charming miniature Shwoo, adorning any area it lands upon. Please send some good healing thoughts out for the very talented sculptor that won't be making them anymore , as he is dealing with a serious health issue.
