As a child in 50's Australia, we played "fives" with real knuckle bones. They were saved from the Sunday roast lamb dinner. I don't remember seeing the plastic copies until the late 60's. Our toys were very simple in the 50s, skipping ropes, old tins to make 'telephones' and golden syrup tins which were pierced with holes, strings added and used as stilts and pieces of wool to make fun finger games like cat's cradle. Not a piece of plastic in sight!

I think the fish is a koi fish. They were very popular in I think Japanese culture. They are status symbols and some of them can cost thousands of dollars for one fish. Most of the ones in the USA are inexpensive compared to the ones in Japan. My parents had a beautiful pond in their backyard with two of them. They get huge but won't outgrow their pond. I love yalls channel. We don't have places like yours to hunt for treasures. We can only live the dream through your videos. Thank you for giving us that joy!! Take care. Elizabeth

Hello from Geneva Switerland! I love that bottle!!! It's so beautiful! It actually reminds me a lot of a type of mineral water bottle that was very common in Sweden the first half of the 1900s or so. We have a bunch that we found at my grandmother's old house. They're all different shades of blue-green, with swing top stoppers. Fish name suggestion: Felicia! That was my immediate thought when Alex said it should have a female name. Very cute little friend.

When I was a little kid in the 70s-80s we played the game of Jacks or knuckle bones for absolutely hours. We were in a rural area so WHENEVER we saw a knuckle bone on the ground, it would be scooped up. You need 5 for the game. They need to be different colours ideally. My friend’s older sister painted her bones with different colours of nail polish one summer. So we all did the same thing. Her mother wasn’t super happy about that 😂 I had one bone painted white with red spots 🙂 I was very proud of that jack 🤣 They made brightly coloured plastic sets available from the newsagents, they were shaped like small knuckles each a different bright colour. They were oookkkkk in a pinch, but it took some practice because they were so much lighter and smaller than the real bone. Good memories, good memories. I know that if I pulled out a set of “jacks” in front of my friend, we could just start a game immediately without hesitation. 😂❤ such fun.

@@NorthernMudlarks It is. The camera lens can act like a portal to the unconscious spiritual dimensions. As the Internet is a parallel alternative dimension, just as the afterlife, spirits can manifest on line using the energy of this huge electromagnetic global grid. In the spiritual dimensions time is flexible, fluid. Everything is connected at a spiritual level, and Nature is alive with spirit energy. Spirit helpers and the ancient Gods can communicate by the use of symbols or directly through EVP audio; they are powerful forces in Nature itself and must always be respected. EVP, Electronic Voice Phenomenon, spirit audio manifestations in electronic recordings or on radios/ghost boxes. Voices or human speech patterns happening in ambient sounds or noises. A well-known paranormal phenomenon. ITC, Instrumental Trans-dimensional Communication, images and symbols manifesting in abstract material; also a well-described parapsychological phenomenon, by rigid scientists considered an illusion, pareidolia or even madness - but to spiritual people a perfectly natural occurrence, appearing when spirits and Gods want to make a point. Our whole reality is not as stringently laid out, as we are taught to think. As an animist I know that everything, all objects, natural as well as man made, contain spiritual energy. That's ancient secret wisdom, 'witcha', but of course considered complete nonsense by science, despite the fact that phenomena within the field of quantum physics, like entanglement, represents similar 'magical thinking'. Should we fear the spirits, fear the paranormal? No, we just need to respect the ancestors, the spirits of Nature and the ancient Gods. I recommend studying the literature of Carl Jung, the Swiss professor of psychology who developed theories such as the archetype, the personal and collective unconscious and synchronicity. He in fact acknowledged parapsychology as being part of our reality. I'm glad you took that lovely teal coloured beer! Most of the beer bottles that shape with applied lips have a 4 digit mould number. The little ceramic fish is a lovely find too. Perhaps cast the two halves of the mould separately and remove material from each half to hollow them out and silver solder the halves together, it would make the silver cast less heavy?
