Good evening ladies. The toy tractor is a massy ferguson 135. Early 1970s. Possibly made by brittons . I learnt to drive on one as a youngster. The pistol ball was made in a ball mold that had a sprew cutter in it. It looks like a type of pliers. But the could be made single or in bunches. Type in pistol ball hand mold and you will see. Thank you for your entertainment. Keep safe 🐝😷

I was about to mention that about the tractor. ERTL Massey Ferguson. I believe it's an 1155 though, not a 135.

This was deliciously fun. I love how you can go into your yard and come away with delightful historical and fun finds. I could dig to China in my back yard and not find a single thing. I loved the bit of Scottish Games there at the end. You all are Caber tossing champions...ha ha ha...I've see the fellows at the Scottish Games do that here in the States, but have never seen the genuine article from Scotland. Very impressive...ha ha ha...I loved it! Your detecting in the garden and back yard look like such fun, and I am amazed at how far your garden area has come along. You put both hands under the caber and balance it to your shoulder before your run-up and throw...but you all had a damn good try! !:^) There was a lot of lead, tin and a bit of silver mining went on in the Borders, Leadhills being obvious but Wanlockhead and such areas too. As someone commented below, the lump of lead could be the hidden treasure in the lot! Thanks for sharing your time. All the best. Stay Safe and Keep Well!

Another great vid. I think that the bit of wood with the cog on the end is probably from an old hand cranked wooden mangle for squing the water out of your washing. My grandmother had one, as well as the old dolly tub and posser. The old equivelent to todays paddles inside of a modern washing machine. She also had a rubbibg board and copper for boiling the water to put into the dolly tub. When the local council decided to modernise the houses, she gave these items to the Granada props department. Every time I se a programme showing these items I wonder if they are the ones that my gran gave to them. regards, bill.

YAY! More searching around the homestead! Do you have an old photo, lithograph or painting of your tower? Or of a similar tower? I want to see it! What rich, brown soil you have -- you should be growing corn or something there! But it is interesting that many of these artifacts -- excuse me, *treasures* -- are a good 10" or more down. It would seem that there has been a bit of soil dumped/laid-down over top in the intervening 100-200 years, moreso that I would expect as a natural process. Maybe a buildup of fertilizer for farming? Would love to know more of the history of the house too -- age, who built it, any odd architectural features. Go full Time-Team!!! Thanks!!! Stay safe!!!

My Grt grandmother used to give us girls her empty compacts ,perfume bottles,lipstick containers, we used to go outside and put them in our little purses and play with them. So when you find them in the garden, I can picture little girls playing with their Mothers or Grandmother’s empty containers like toys ,and they probably left them out there! 😊 That is my guess!

The dodgy signals are because the coin is on its edge. The tiny coin is probably a Scottish "bawbee" A bawbee was a Scottish halfpenny. The word means a debased copper coin, valued at six pence Scots, issued from the reign of James V of Scotland to the reign of William II of Scotland. They were hammered until 1677, when they were produced upon screw presses. The tractor thing is a tyre valve.👍

@diggerdrew98094 жыл бұрын
not heard that before , supposed to use distilled or de ionised water , not tap water as contains other chemicals , picking some coins with a tooth pic can also destroy the patina especially on roman coins that are only just holding up , generally a soft tooth brush or as you say a tooth pic but better if the tooth pick is chewed at the end creating a brush effect
