To me that was a real test. No one is going to be running a circular saw in a power outage situation! Every new camper that I buy I check each component (or switch) to see how much power it consumes so when I am not connected to shore power, I know what I can run and what I can't. I would like to see a similar test on a full size frig or freezer. Can it keep my stuff from thawing or going bad for 8 hours? That is what is really important.
@lucillekenney831111 ай бұрын
Exactly. Everyone else is targeting off-grid cabin builds. Regular people who would like to have an alternative power source for everyday appliances and are not likely to get a generator are a whole other market.
@NorthernSeclusion11 ай бұрын
This is my way of thinking also. If you have an off grid cabin (which The Tent is set up to run that way if needed) you are not needing or having all the conveniences of home. Just a light or two, charging your phones etc. This battery is perfect for that but also things around the house when the power is out. This one is lighter than most of the others also.

Great video review, Joe!! That is something that would be great at deer camp to run camp. I built my own solar generator, but nothing that could power camp. It is more for charging radio, cameras, camera batteries, etc. I have it built into a 50 caliber MTM plastic ammo can. It consists of 3 - 12 volt 7.2 amp hour batteries. I have a solar panel, and have the generator setup to charge from it or from an AC outlet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and review of the ZeroBreeze. Juddie - J & J TOA

How many freaking companies make portable power stations... Thats all everyone on youtube is doing, testing them...
@thalleshoward396211 ай бұрын
The companies let them test them and just give it to them after they review them. Sales must be down for these companies because you have to work to keep them charged up with solar when the sun is out. I would buy one for emergency use only and have a gas one as my main source.

The 80% thing is for storage, it handles that better over long times without use. And the reason they have separate Ac and Dc power is they both use power to convert it to 12v/120v. So you don't want those running when you aren't using them.

In this video in the beginning KZbin has a thing on the screen saying that it is a paid promotion. Complain to them, not me. It is not like you did not know within the first minute that it was an item that was "sent to me" just like I explained. The other 16 minutes are on you. The next one will be on a diesel heater. Just so you have a heads up and can skip the "bullshit" commercial.

@@NorthernSeclusionI'll probably watch the diesel heater since I just bought one but the various solar generators are boring me to death but since I installed my own solar system from components I am bored by the limits of a solar generator.
