My name is Ralph I recently retired having reached the landmark age of 65 “what do I do now ?” is the question I asked myself. What do I enjoy the most well that was easy to answer I love to dance and I love to listen to Northern Soul this love of the above started what seems a lifetime ago in the late 60’s when I discovered a small dark and dirty place called THE CATACOMBS then followed by THE TORCH for those with really good memories UP THE JUNCTION and the scene was cast that would frame my life.

@@peterrollason8319agreed it’s not hard. I picked it up in the 1970s from my aunt who lived with us at the time. She was a Wigan Casino regular and the little girl me picked up the moves that she showed me at home. Later on me and my friends used to do the same dance moves at the local under 18s disco when they used to have the Northern Soul sessions. I’m 55 now and still remember the moves.

(Edit) Just clicked then I looked it up👍. The NAAFI club! Snooker tables upstairs. Local Skins used to attend the dances, sometimes fights would break out!! I remember the Club had to shut for a while for repairs🤣. Prince Charles was a student pilot at the time! You triggered the tired old grey matter there! 🤗Thanks.
