The Northgate Peaks Trail is located in the Kolob Terrace section of Zion National Park. To get to the parking lot, take the Kolob Terrace Road which is off of Route 9. Drive 16 miles to the Wildcat Canyon Trailhead parking lot. It is not nearly as crowded as the main area of Zion, so it is a good option if you're looking to get away from the crowds for a day. The Northgate Peaks Trail is 4.2 miles round trip with 200 feet of elevation gain.

My wife and I just hiked this trail the other day. It was awesome. Definitely got away from the huge crowd in the main area of the park. It was so relaxing to go here away from the crowd. 🤠

Wow what a tiny little guy this little man was back then lol. This is even before we met crazy enough! You know I've done this trail before because it was the beginning part of the Subway hike. Where the hike ended here is where you start going down to the bottom of the canyon I believe. Thanks for taking me back on another cool memory.

Within Hiking Distance I actually went to Storm point trail, but didn’t do the hike as there was recent sightings of grizzly bear. I just finished Yellowstone n Teton. Thanks for the push :)

We hiked Zion last summer it was HOT, did not get to this part so thank you for sharing. We plan to return and will hit this then.

This part of the part is much higher than in the Canyon so it would feel a bit cooler. This trail is also shaded most of the way, perfect for hot days. Thanks so much guys!

Oh man, you guys are rocking out Zion again...so lucky. We just passed the peak in colours, but the weather is still warm (for here this time of year)...and the fishing is grand.
