These new songs sound insane live. Seen Northlane numerous times over the last 9 years and the last AU tour was my favourite.

I really like how Northlane sounding different so far for the last singles. However i prefer the production on Dante more, for some reason on Miasma it was really raw not in the best way but on Afterimage it's a little better, obviously this is just my opinion. The curse/bless of this band is that each time i check most of their stuff - i don't like it at first or can't get into it, but after some time it gets so much better that i'm really enjoying it. I think Miasma is my least favorite so: Afterimage -> Dante -> Miasma.

12:05 I thought this about the KZbin videos. The iTunes full release is a lot better I think. Northlane (and other bands) have suffered with this when putting out singles before, normally it gets fixed for the wider EP release.

My biggest critique for this new album is definitely going to be the mix. it's the only part that I just can't get with. It definitely seems like they're experimenting more with mixing and production. I'm excited to see the end product, but it's going to take some adjusting.

Idk if this is considered a hot take but i actually really like the muddier, less processed sounding mix, feels more raw and honestly refreshing. when you listen to a band a you can tell what kick and snare sample they used its kinda lame

This felt like a blend of Karnivool's Themata album, and Northlane's current sound. Ian's voice is BUILT for this sound. Ian and Marcus also compliment each other so incredibly, holy shit.
