But now I'm wondering how far I could take sculpting if I really applied myself, but then I'd have to drop something else. SO HERE'S THE SOLUTION: I'll follow you and I'll live vicariously through your stuff. @lennonp.34693 жыл бұрын
Yeah it does look like a starwars ronin or tone type character. Mainly because of the sword and how the main body is just a square (circle in this case) with the thin arms and legs. And tone does have that circular window. I personally like the pants btw.

The pants aren't that odd if you think about it. If you can't rely on a staff dedicated to the cleaning of your mech on a regular basis, then protecting it with something that doesn't hinder his movements can be handy. Plus, it kind of humanizing the mech and give him a lonely cyberpunk ronin vibe.

@NorthoftheBorder3 жыл бұрын
A number of people have asked how often I bake (heh heh heh), so I've been trying to be more vocal--the easiest answer is "whenever I feel like something is done". I'm rarely upset that I baked something, but I'm often upset that I smoooooshed something by accident. Worst case scenario, I bake something too early and instead of fretting over perfections, I can move onto something else.

Kind of nitpicky, but considering its size relative to the robot, that's a Tachi, Ōdachi or Nodachi. It was a weapon often used by horse-riding samurai, compared to the widely-distributed Uchigatana (the ancestor of the 'modern' Katana) used by footmen. Uchigatana used by samurai were usually in the set of short-and-long called Daishō. Basically, most of what people call "katana" are not actually katana (especially considering that katana were made during peace time, whereas the Uchigatana, Tachi, and Daishō were used during Warring States Period).
