Technically, Norway is responsible for a lot more than that. Iceland was colonized by Norway, and then Iceland colonized Greenland, the Faroe islands, and North America (Newfoundland, Canada). Norwegian genetics are also still dominant in all these regions. Today they are considered separate cultures because Mainland Scandinavian language evolved to resemble German and English, while off-shore territories retained Old Norse language structure.

Technically the sun never sets on Norway, because it has a territory where the sun never sets for half the year and another territory where it never sets for the other half of the year. The sun never sets on France either, because of oversea dependencies it has 13 time zones and territories in every longitudinal continent cluster. I find it incredibly funny how nowadays the sun never sets on the French Empire (but it does on the British Empire) btw.
