@@FeedbackGaming This strat is quite good however you have failed to realise the chessy exploit available too you with this method if you simply change the name of your upgraded ship to "Refitted Destroyer Class" then the ships that spawn in will now be the upgraded versions and you have no need to convert them!

Base cost for convoys is 70. So, that's... a basic DD for 280 IC. You can later upgrade the destroyer with the refitting spirit using a 25% bonus. You may be able to buy convoys at a discount in the international market. This ability looks interesting to explore even more.

20:34 the firing control and the radar do not increase crit chance, it's both only hit chance, but for light and for heavy attack. 21:30 The reason you got an update on your ships might be because the production of the destroyers leveld up the ship MIO. And the production didnt change, because the MIOs increase the stats without increasing the cost, so the new ship you decomissioned had better stats, if only by a small margin

Norway gets some crazy good stacking bonuses to civ building but you wont really get a good amount unless you fully focus on it in the start of the game, you'll probably end up with around 40 civs by the start of 39

Historical is fun and all. But Vote of no confidence gives you METRIC ton Aluminium. You also get get better air plane designer and medium tank designer. Ofc you lose on some civs but that doesn't matter because you instead get large military industry

I find it ironic this dlc opens with art of the sinking of the Blucher by the Oscarsborg fortress, the single most concequencial event of the invasion of Norway, and forts are still mostly pointless in game. Oscarsborg was also very much one of those old crumbly forts, it wasn't even the main fortification of Oslo fjord.

great video, only small thing I would say is the mines going down isn't always because one got hit by a ship. Mines attrition over time, if you lay a bunch then peace out and stop laying the number will slowly go down over time anyway. I attribute it to tides, waves breaking chains or what have you and them floating away and getting lost

I'm like 90% the reason your mine count was wiggling was the Germans were mine sweeping. Otherwise it would display on the sea region tile that a strike happened, but strikes pretty much only happen during battles/while ships are maneuvering (patrol/etc)

The reason why the game is saying you are creating an old template might be the MIO upgrades. if you shit click them and the node had a benefit to the equipment you are making and as its a MIO node it usually doesn't have an increase in production cost.

I prefer Submarines, Specifically mines, say you invade a smaller nation, keep that nation alive and while doing so, lay mines around a nation you want a naval invasion against (usually UK, USA, or Japan) That way, when you decide to invade them, you'll have a nice buff to naval supremacy, so even if you have a smaller navy, you have a much better chance to have a successful invasion Plus, you sink ships and convoys, although if you're planing on invading the USA, you might want Cruiser subs or 1940 ones (you could do small jumps across Iceland and Greenland, but that requires taking out Canada and the UK)

I feel like the naval stuff is best as a support. Treat the 'free' DDs as just very cheap meatshields while you make your glorious convoy spam instead of destroyers, and IMO they're significantly better as torpedoflood (though a small number of minelayers are nice, they don't work as a mainstay of the fleet) Even T1 destroyers can put an insane amount of torpedo damage downrange, atleast compared to their cost with it just being 4 convoys and a dirt cheap conversion per DD. It means you can spend your production on anything else, you basically just need a convoy production and a bit of repairs. Backline ships are nigh-untouchable by anything that doesn't pierce the screen, since you'll always have like 50 in a battle near-instantly even in the rare occasion the enemy doesn't shit bricks and run. You basically want to always be making them nonstop, and just make enough convoys to support both it and your other endeavors. Building DDs is pointless unless you need more than spamming that focus can give, which won't happen for a looong time. Usually as norway you don't even need any other navy, just spam conversion and give them the best torps you can (other upgrades optional, they help but they also increase the price, IMO only a few are worth it). This frees you to do other things, like abusing your massive amount of resources to make aircraft.

Feedback this Strategy is OP indeed, However..... It is godly op if you know the exploit that comes with this. Similar to the old SS Divsion Exploit for Germany where you could rename the spawn in SS divisions for Germany and use it to spawn in divs full of 50 width tanks you can also change the name of your upgraded destroyer I to "Refitted Destroyer Class" make sure to rename the old spawn in ship class to something else. Once done every destroyer you spawn in will have the upgrade you placed on them thus avoiding the need to convert them in order to upgrade them

I use this strat with china early on. Make minetube sub 1 and get war with the warlords, so you can mine the shit out of japan before they even attack + build torpedo DD-s for hit and run tactic as mines gives ultimate speed and you can win after couple of engangements. You could also do make 3 diff DD groups 1 mine laying 1 spotting and 1 convoy raider. Also you could make a carrier convoy raider ;)

Is that similar to Denmark, who exchange 10 convoys for destroyers, and a bit more 15 or 25 dunno, for a basic cruiser. Then have 2 bonus (4 with shipyards upgrades on mios) to refit em in better ships. Ive filled the cruisers with medium light turrets 2 and put 2 more torps 2 on the destroyers. (Also get 10 destroyers from US and UK, 5 each but cant be upgraded).
