Same. I am Greek and used to have more "Selena Gomez" nose till I was 14 and a sonofabiatch at basketball practice hit me and since then I literally have "the Greek bump" she mentioned 😂 funny thing is I have photos of my nose by side at 14 and photos at 15 and at 14 I didn't have the bump and I liked it more and I was thinking of having surgery to make my nose exactly how it was BUT from this video I don't really care that much anymore. I now have the exact same nose with Johansson (and same cheekbones that I used to hate until very recently, which was the reason I would never contour my cheekbones). I'm ok with having it. If Scarlett doesn't mind, why should I?

I am amazed with the logic and sensitivity that you put into this video. I don't know why but it just hit me that you must do some portrait artwork too! I always thought that if I did beauty videos I would do it like this. To explain how shadow and light really manipulate how one sees the face.

Well k actually have a massive nose and have been told by many people that i do so...
@FirstnameLastname-es1ko5 жыл бұрын
oziku Well those people are incredibly rude, for starters. But it actually doesn’t matter if you have a big nose or not, I think you’ll soon find. Many of the most beautiful women and men in the world do not have noses (or facial features in general) as perfect as you would think at first glance. If you focus solely on one feature sometimes you can stop noticing the way the features combine as a whole. The way the features combine as a whole is far less influenced by an individual feature than you might think, and even if you dislike your nose on its own, you may find that other people, (as other people focus less on individual features than they do on how the features combine) actually do not notice the size of your nose, if that makes sense. Your nose, although seemingly big when overly scrutinized, or when viewed by itself, may actually be in keeping with the proportions of your face, and combine very well with your other features. Basically, while your nose may seem big on its own, it may suit your general facial features, and actually contribute to your natural beauty rather than detract from it. I am not articulating myself very well here, but I hope you can understand what I am trying to say, at least somewhat :)

I normally don't comment on youtube videos but I really enjoyed this video and how you say the curves and bumps on those people's noses are what are attractive and make their unique images. I'm from South Korea and not that I want to say bad things about where I came from but people are so into plastic (cosmetic) surgeries that when they have one flaw on their face which does not fit the society's standard of beauty, they just go and get it changed. I wish more people realise that the thing people think as a flaw is what makes them special.

I always thought Jennifer Grey had a really unique, beautiful look, fierce kinda. But now that the changed her nose so drastically, she looks ordinary. I hope you keep yours the way it is. I always thought Jennifer Grey looked amazing. You probably do as well and don't know it! Great, candid response. I am a long time fan of Tom Petty's music. When he was young he looked like a Donatello David, overbite and all. I'm saddened by the posthumous feud between his widow and eldest daughter Adria, who released a track For Real, in which pastiche he was always happy and young and beautiful. He remained a beautiful, inspiring man/artist until the day he died, whatever he looked like as he aged. He deserved 'to put them dark glasses on at night.'

I can't tell if I have close set or normal set eyes, if my nose is long or short, if my forehead is high or normal, etc. I look in the mirror and in the pictures and I feel like I can see two different people :D. Maybe you have any advice? How to look at yourself as I am not myself? (It kind of doesn't make sense but I hope you'll get what I mean). Or maybe you can look at my picture and tell me ANYTHING about my face. That would really help me :) Greetings from Poland!

Wow this is the best nose contour video ever. I have small nostrils and a thin kind nose bone (like Belluci's) and contouring it was always hard because you have to create really thin shadows and blend them. So I always skipped nose contour because I got impatient or it didn't turn out good.Your videos are in general amazing and I am really learning a lot of you on that. Keep doing the beautiful job you are doing right now.

I've been researching human body and facial types and features, and I am led here. I'm glad I found your channel, because it will help me in illustrating human features better, so that the diversity, fallible features and organic way of drawing comes out from my human characters!

I don't remember if I've commented about this before, but you are one of my (if not THE) favorite makeup artists! Your perspective is so unique and so fresh! It livens up my creativity when I start feeling stagnant about makeup. Thank you so much for your videos! (And I love that you didn't try to say "Lupita Nyong'o". Lol!)

And that`s why getting a a nose job is not a good idea. The nose you are born with is the most flattering nose for your specific face.

Elias Perez A dr. in Newport Beach CA, you can PM on that website. He pushed-up my nose & made the bridge wide. I went from long & skinny nose to s short fat pig nose that did not fit my face structure.

You have the best way of explaining things. I enjoy knowing why things are done, not just how to do them (teach a man to fish) and I really appreciate how you take the time to show the logic behind techbiques. You are beautiful inside and out but also clever and personable. Thank you :)

3:20 The part of the nose between the tip & the base of septum area below, is called the 'columella'. The columella feature that Olivia Wilde, Audrey Hepburn & Paris Hilton have is called a "hanging columella". The extreme opposite is a "retracted columella". I have a slightly hanging columella, myself.

I never leave comments but I enjoy your videos so much that I just had to! You're so professional and knowledgable and so different (in a positive way) from so many of the makeup gurus here on KZbin! I always learn something from your videos. Instead of just showing how to apply makeup or contour etc, you really teach the viewers the importance of the why and how, and that's so incredibly important because each face is different and without understanding why or when to contour, viewers just try to copy the same look as the beauty guru and then wonder why it doesn't look good :). So... THANK YOU ALI!! I know your channel is going to grow hugely and quickly :) best of luck!!

@leonialeo63288 жыл бұрын
I would've never guessed that! To me, she looks very korean.
@iisqw8 жыл бұрын
+Leonialeo really?Maybe a bit :/?but she looks like a typical pretty northern chinese to me, tall with sharp features. A lot of Chinese celebrities from those northern parts of China actually look a bit like her, especially the nose. But of course her look is not really "typical" since she is a famous actress whose beauty is highly praised in China
