I was highly considering buying these to have in tandem with my Olympic Rings in the beginning of the video, but after I found out that this helps support you Matt, I instantly picked them up. Thanks for leading us to the best knowledge you can give! This is the least I can do and you've helped me in my journey 10 fold. Lifelong subscriber here. I'll be picking up a shirt next week.

This is a very soothing video for some reason. I think you are mixing all these sensations with the fabrics and materials, along with fitness(which i enjoy), and somehow that makes me feel giggly. Anyway just letting you know. By the way thanks for being so original, you give me courage to do things my way. And I mean this in a factual rather than sensational way!

Hey, I've seen your video and i really liked yoyr review. I wondered if you still consider this to be your favorite suspension trainer, and whether you have any alternatives that work similar to this one as i couldn't find anything with such a simple set-up as this one (as shipping for this item costs more than the product itself to my country).
@michaelkulman70959 ай бұрын
You could just buy strong rope and make one. I think Matt has an old diy video. Handles? DIY or use rings or use a commercial handle.

You have saved me about $300 so far with your isometric trainer, now this. However, it's not the money as I will just write it off through my company but it's all so light and compact as I will be traveling so much. I can only say How much you are appreciated. It's because of you that I am considering establishing a facility in golden. We are also looking at Panama. So I do need light mobile equipment, short maximum producing routines for this old fart. I have also been looking at brute force sand bags as they have one I can load up to 400#. I still have issues from my power lifting days when I was young and stupid. Still am I guess. I don't think I will be using them that much as I will rely on isometrics for my power more but kind of use to quantify my strength. Us old farts can't take anything for granted. For example I have a black belt in 3 systems but since I have gotten older my kicks stink so my KENPO works far better for me. Forget grappling, I know enough to get by but I don't want to be on the ground in some parking lot. I trained in parking lots, bars, car lots , all types of environments so I wouldn't get spoiled. Anyways I went on to much just to say thank you. AS ALWAYS YOU DID A GREAT JOB ON THIS VIDEO. YOUR OPINION SEEMED FAIR AND HONEST

I had a 2009 trx with the foam handles. It lasted about 9 years. The foam actually held up fine, but the plastic handles were inferior to the current ones and one started cracking and falling apart. Trx wouldn't do anything for me, but I did buy the pro model when it was on sale and I used an extra coupon code (yes probably still not a great deal--but I figured it's a once every 8-10 year type of purchase). I am considering this nossk as a second piece I can set up during this apocalypse. I can set it up on my gazebo beam next to trx, where nossk is well suited for pullups (beam is like 8" wide), but trx is hooked onto that single strap, still good for a lot of the usual exercises. I figure I can set up both at once, go back and forth between the two.
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
That's a smart set up right there Monkey Boy, definetly good to set up multiple pieces and that way it's easier to switch from one exercise to another
@monkeyb18204 жыл бұрын
@@RedDeltaProject nossk just arrived. The plastic handles are pretty much identical to the ones from my 2009 trx--but at this price point I think that's fine. The handles/ropes are good quality, nice and lightweight. Good product for the money. Like you said: dual point is more ideal--but you can still get a great workout from single-point setup, and single point is simpler to setup and get-going. Most people can't do full body-ups/dips, so I think the single point is more practical for most people.

I am debating between the Rt-17 and the Twin Pro... It would be nice to see a side by side comparison.
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
They both have their strengths, and for the most part, you'll be getting the same bacic use out of both of them. The rRT is more of a single anchor point design and easier to throw over high anchor points like tree limbs. The TT, is better if you want to do things like dips and single arm work.

Price has gone up to $30. Do you have to learn how to tie a Prusik Hitch or does it already come with it tied?
@michaelkulman70959 ай бұрын
It's easy, clearly shown in the manual, it's just going loop into loop a certain number of times. Climbers use it so a real climbing channels on KZbin will show it. The hoop of smaller rope on handle is pretied so it's easy. Look at Prussik knot on Wikipedia to understand the attachment of the smaller rope to thicker rope. It may come tied. Once tied you just move it up and down you don't retie it each time. It works by constriction under load.

Hi! Thank you so much for this video. I am looking for a TRX alternative and this looks like a winner to me! Just wondering if you noticed any pros and cons of using a rope trainer vs a strap trainer? Thank you again!
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
Not that much, the rope trainers do have a bit of stretch to them when you first put weight onto them after adjustment. Some people like this, other's prefer a tight and taught feel of the straps. I'll have a review out shortly about the NOSSK Twin Trainer which is their most robust strap design.
@LarryRichelli3 жыл бұрын
What trainer are you using on the cover of your book, Grand Style? Thanks
@jimgoldstein7864 жыл бұрын
I bought the world trainer you recommended for isometrics and it is great. Really good for travel (if we ever do that again). I see this comany has a number of straps. Curious why you got this one instead of their higher end price wise. Which is not very high compartively.
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
Simple, this is the one they sent me. I may get my hands on the other one soon and do a review on that too.

Hey Matt. I just did my side plank leg lifts and my hips (could not lift my leg anymore) gave out way before my obliques.I felt nothing in my obliques during the exercise probably because there was not enough time for them to get fatigued (i was watching myself and my form was good,no sagging).I find normal side planks just too easy as I can do them for 2 and a half minutes..Should I continue doing my side planks like this and wait until my hips get stronger and catch up or should I try something else?
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
Yep, your hips are the weak link in your lateral chain, which is extremly common. So I would do two different side planks. - the first to challenge your obliques where you keep your feet on the floor and stretch yourself out further to add resistance. You can also do this with one hand suspended to really make it hard. - Then do a side plank with the top leg lifted a bit or any variation where you feel it in the hips.

Matt what if we wrapped athletic tape around it?
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
I've done that in the past, but have found that it doesn't hold up very well. Sometimes the adhesive bleeds through the tape and makes the handles a sticky mess. Instead, I've come to use this simple technique to add a no-slip grip texture to PVC which is also very durable: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpTcfJ5ohL9qb9U
