The fact he called Doug’s mother passing away as emotional manipulation when he’s using his dead father to gain sympathy. His view point on the Nostalgia Critic was at the very least, his opinion that I understand but him turning out as a scumbag for the recent events, nearly everything he said about Doug is taking out in his frustration and sometimes, using it as a shield. Especially his reaction on his “I swear officer, I mean audience” joke.

If it helps, Zaid assisted in helping a victim of child pr3dation who went by the handle MintHeart get out of their home where such abus3 was occurring (roll with the weird spelling because KZbin can't let anyone talk about serious topics uncensored) and found out people formerly in his circle like ToonKritic and Vida were also preying on minors. As such, he'd take up a rather (understandably) heated stance on objectifying minors and characters in that age range because desensitization is one way guards can be dropped and kids can be made easier to prey on.

It’s the same problem I’ve experienced with Mr. Enter has whenever he’s reviewing something he hates like Family Guy, Teen Titans Go, Drawn Together and a few other cartoons he hates. Not to mention that the videos are usually 40 or 50 minutes. Hell, some of the videos are usually an hour long.

From YT tos changing in the course of five to six years, the introduction of monetization rating system and overall a more family friendly ish internet in comparison to how the internet was in the 2010’s and early 2000’s. Now, it was wrong of how Zaid handled that situation I won’t disagree but the anger is understandable. Regardless of who Zaid is as a person, I think we can all agree that the NC review of Sailor Moon was...not good. Like, at all. It contains clear misinformation about the show, Doug clearly didn't do a lot of research into it, he asserted that transformation sequences (a staple of the Tokusatsu genre, which Sailor Moon was in part inspired by) were sexualized just because they were on the bodies of 14-year-olds, the joke about the reason Doug may have watched the show as a teenager being that he was sexually attracted to the main characters was unbelievably cringe & stupid, & the part about Japan's age of consent is both under researched & forced into the review. I remember hearing that apparently Linkara told him about the age of consent while they were on a flight together after he found out Doug was doing the review & I guess Doug needed no further information to base bad jokes & accusations of the show's writers being pedos off of. I'm sorry, but Sailor Moon isn't Victorious & the showrunners weren't Dan Schneider. Jesus.

What is often erroneously said of this review(Even by me in the past and I apologize for it.) “He said girls can’t like Star Wars!” What was actually said specifically about this version of the show “That’s what girls who watch this are into, Star Wars!” I can vouch for the idea that people who watched the early American Sailor Moon airings were not typically sci-fi nerds. Anime was just coming into more mainstream popularity in the west. Even if you were a boy, you probably watched it because it was on around the same time as Dragon Ball Z or Hamtaro. Now, the original show made in the early 90s when many Japanese artists and storytellers were still inspired by Star Wars? Probably. But I also don’t trust Dic to put that level of work into understanding the material. The reference was just probably to look cool to the parents watching it with their kids.

Anyone in their right mind would go to actual authorities instead of trying to virtue signal over it in a youtube video for validation and exploiting alledged victims. Deleting his channel, getting professional help and touching grass is the healthiest move for him to make. His main issue literally was being too terminally online and too obsessed with pointless internet drama after all.

@@maxanderson8704 Yeah… Lio Convoy’s videos on Zaid Magenta have definitely not aged well since Lio Convoy has turned out to be a bad person and definitely worse than Zaid. Because at least Zaid did not dox Cartoonshi or any of his harassers and called their schools like Lio Convoy did to that 15 year old. And at least Zaid didn’t also do those things that you said Lio did.

Because regardless of what he did, his point is very valid. NC's "review" of Sailor Moon is so bad. He only focused on making bad jokes about it and whenever he does try to analyze it, he gets the things extremely wrong. It's best to forget NC because he's not a go to person when it comes to knowing about a film. Also, the people that Zaid "harassed" actually harassed him first because of his facts
