I got mine from Omnime. They send updates that are pretty clear, Tonsen was behind on producing these (understandable). All the parts fit into place. It isn't as easy to swap parts as a figuarts, but overall it is great quality. It does feel different, but on the shelf it looks like you bought it from Bandai.

I personally love tonsen art toys products. All of the products have been consistent release after release. Much more quality control consistency compared to Demoniacal fit, Kong studios and even sh Figuarts at times. I have this figure, both first release trunks figures and have preordered both upcoming trunks versions. I love my items I’ve received.

You can circumvent those scuff-marks by using a nail-file on the trouble-spot and sanding down the sharp edge. ; ) Also; I guess you were right, because I don't remember "teen Buu" at all. =) XD

All i know is that the early batch from aliexpress had a lot more issues, than the latest batch that omnime received, and probably the first batches that omnime got for the early preorders, so i'm actually happy that i received the better version of the kid buu, got mines just last week. The first batches were super squeaky from the reviews, i've seen people with 2 right or 2 left feet, super stiff joints, mines only has a slight squeak to it, but the tip in the email to put it in hot water, should fix that, but it's not so much to the point where it bothers me and forces me to do so

Loved the review and you nailed all the high and low points of the figure with good analysis. I am curious because I just received the same version from Omnime as well after an everlasting wait; did you have to use a screwdriver, or other tool, to widen the hand and neck holes? Even after a hot water soak session, I still had to resort to this tactic to use the figure.

I have both versions A and B, my problem with the figure is that some part or so stiff (needs to be lubricated), 2nd problem, the arm keeps popping out when articulating it, 3rd problem in one of my copy, i have to sand the bicep parts, since I can't fully bend the arm, 4th problem, some of the peg holes are too small, (you need to modify the hole size to fix the problem), 5th the leg and feet have very limited articulation.

My only thing that I feel like it's a gripe is the eyes. They are a little too wide if that makes sense. Like they extend too far on his head there's too much eye to my them you see the iris and pupil in it there seem too much to me.

Mine has an issue where the neck peck gets stuck in the head sculpts, which is really a pain. I have to get plyers every time to get it out. I worry about the longevity of that. Did you have that issue?

So from my understanding, Omnime is absolutely horrible when it comes to pre-orders, and they take forever to ship them out. But when it comes to just regular orders that are already in stock, you should be good? At least in my experience that is, I got to figure in about 3 days after ordering it.

Yeah Ill never use omnime again, trying to get kid buu was my first and only attempt at trying them, when I originally ordered the shipping was like 40$ to canada, and I ended up finding cheaper ones with free shipping on ali, and they were kinda rude to me when I emailed them about canceling/refunding the order.

Most people go for S.H. Figuarts, but they can get expensive, so sometimes go for 3rd parties. That's my recommendation

There are a few brands, but start with SHFiguarts in the beginning. Especially with the $35 characters. Then you can start playing around with brands like Beast Deities, Demoniacal Fit, Black Hole, Tonsen Art, and some others that I can’t think of

I’m happy yours is a good one. Mine was not. He has been the most disappointing figure I received this year. The left shoulder is completely frozen in place and both the forearms keep falling off when you try to move them. So mine is just a nice looking paper weight. And yes, I tried all the “fixes” but nothing fixed mine. So a big thumbs down for me.

@nostalgia unboxed I can’t remember right off the top of my head who I purchased him through. No, I haven’t tried to contact anyone. I took a chance and it didn’t work out. I have head sculpts and other accessories from them. They are all great. This being the company’s first figure. I’m not super upset about it. I did look on Tonsen Arttoys website and they had posted a how to fix your figure article. Seeing that didn’t give me much hope of getting a better figure. I’m frustrated more with the fact that I waited almost a complete year for him just to be disappointed. Paying as much as we do for these figures I shouldn’t have to read an article on how to fix my brand new figure. However if you’ve been doing this for any real length of time you know this is part of the game.
