Flash games were part of my childhood as much as any other console or PC game was during that time. More specifically, flash games of the Mario, Sonic, and train-themed variety were often played by me. I've seen other KZbinrs talk about old Mario and Sonic flash games, so I figured why not talk about nostalgic train-themed flash games? In this video I take a look at a good selection of old train flash games dating back to the early 2000s. From Thomas & Friends to Unstoppable, there's quite the mixed bag of games to look at here!

Anyone remember a Trippy ass train game that was called something like "Trainwreck pinball"? It had animations for it, and other things. Basically the premise is a conductor is driving to the steam train, which is only in the engine, and the bridge gives out. So then it turns into some sort of platformer, and I'm pretty sure there was absolutely no pinball like elements for launch it, only bouncing around from different places. It has like 20 levels, 5 per area. When was this water type area by the bridge, and another was literally outer space, and you use black holes to help move around. You used your mouse as control for a bit of it. 3D animations, and honestly the lack of care put into what the conductor look like probably should have been nightmare fuel but me and my brother just laughed at at the whole time.

Nostalgia went full throttle here with these games. I'm a Y2K baby. (6/24/2000) and man this really took me back to the old days. I'd give anything to relive those moments namely with the old Thomas website, any of the 2 bridge games (Mini train & Build the Bridge) and Rails of war. I never officially got the full version unfortunately and I regret that now but Skies of War its sister game I both got the full version it in any way possible and was VERY addicting. Railroad Rampage too was another I played but didn't do much.

I remember when I was younger my dad’s office was on the main level in the living room and he had a big pc and monitor. My brother and I would play those Thomas games for hours until my dad needed it again. I loved the click n drag ones the best or the train racing one, those were the good old days. 1:05: Sakuya fumo sighting! I also liked that *pichuun* after that one segment. Incidentally, one of Yukari Yakumo's spell cards involves a typical Japanese commuter train. Now as a child of the 90s, my main game, besides Civilization and Master of Orion, was Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon. Also tried the original A-Train and couldn't figure out how that one was supposed to work.

An excellent video that hit home with me, personally. This video actually uncovered a few of these old games that I actually remember, quite possibly, visiting back in the days of school computer labs. I grew up with these sorts of online-based Flash games (Rail of War, Unstoppable, and maybe a few other train games you haven't seen before) but I found them through a unique website that was solely based on train-related games and other things. If anyone can share this website, archive or active domain, I'd definitely look to see if those flash games are still executable using Supernova. On another note, I think you should take a look at some mobile games that are based around, or include in a large degree of, trains. Mobile games were what made up a good half of my past gaming profile, with my iPad 5 now being phased into obsolescence and unsupported for virtually everything this year, I would love to see some of the old apps I used to download showcased. If you wanted footage of some old apps I could simply record my device, externally (iOS 10 doesn't support screen recording), running some of the apps that are no longer available on the app store... Considering they'll still run, of course.
