Reading a book isn't a good idea as it can distract you from pick pockets that love to travel on the tube. If you must take the tube be aware of your surroundings and either oeople with you. The tube usnt as dirty as this woman claims as all carriages are cleaner every day. Other passengers don't give a toss who you are. They just want to get to tgere destination. Being dumb or clever means nothing your a commuter. Thiscwomen has only said one thing that's important to know don't make I contact. Thus woman us Australian and has no clue of the reality of the London tube. I'm a londonderry born and breed. Ignore her she's clueless. I'm installed by her comments especially the dirty seats which aren't. My adopted nephew works on them his dream job. He does 12 hour shifts the days on, 4 days off then 3 nights on 4 days off. So I know more than this woman does. I'm insuted by her ignorance. And people shouting hapoening thus us the london underground it hapoens

If you venture into certain larger stations like Bank, lay a trail of string and pray you ever emerge from the labyrinth. Ikr, one thing we need on the tube is decor in the tunnel. I was thinking like a flip book cartoon related to the tube, a man running with a briefcase , holding on to his hat, a young man jumping the turnstiles or giggly girls walking out giggling and dancing, perhaps a pigeon pecking crumbs of the floor ...something relatable... not annoying adverts.

@BelgraviaTottieКүн бұрын
You can barely have a conversation on the tube due to the sheer level of noise. In order to have a conversation you have to talk fairly loudly, which in turn means every one around you is a party to your conversation, which to say the least, is not all that romantic.
@blenderpanzi5 күн бұрын
It's so loud, hot, and cramped. Other tube systems aren't that loud, hot, and cramped. (Well, the one in Vienna is cold in winter and London does have a bit more frequent trains.)
@lequoiscontreonu5 күн бұрын
Not to mention you can actually get around the whole city via underground- New York has the same length of routes but its area is half of London. In London you often have to mix the tube with bus.

Are the Tube's seats dirty? Not in my experience (and, I'm a Londoner). The seat material isn't just any old material but an iconic moquette styled in different designs and colours for each of the different Tube lines. It's resistant to grease and fluids and vacuums easily. AFAIK, train cleaning - which is done pretty often - involves vacuuming the seats. If the exterior of the train looks shiny clean (and they usually do), the interior is likely to have been cleaned as well.
