I used to "cheat" when winching-I'd keep the driver out and tie the steering wheel to the wind wing bar or the mirror bracket. Not overly strong,but if in 30 years I never broke anything. If you aren't dragging the truck sideways or something like that,it's a LOT easier than getting the customer to do what you SAY instead of what he THINKS you should do,judging from what he can see from the driver's seat. (Not nearly enough to make those decisions.) I don't envy you,out in that 126 degrees sun. Stay WELL hydrated,Brother.

First off the dude in the truck was really no help to you it seems. He wasn't even really trying to put any effort into cranking that steering wheel to the right. I'm like yelling dude, put some muscle into it p*ssy! Then having his air breaks on while you were trying to wench him out. Falling asleeo while you were there to help him out, also he needs to know how to at least keep the window cracked so he could hear you. This dude was not the sharpest knife in the drawer. The times when I have needed a wench out I have tried to help out as much as I can to make things go smoother & also pay attention to what is going on. I know you busted ass with this wench out, great job Trent keep up the great work bud.

Honestly impressive, crazy hot weather but then that guy was not the brightest you say turn to the right and he turns to the left, you say fight it to the right you can see him just let it go and let it turn to the left if he didn’t physically turn it to the left himself, I sometimes don’t have patience for people like that and i would have been a little short on patience working in that kinda heat with someone who isn’t willing to help get himself out of something he could have prevented by checking the ground
@markverloop88905 жыл бұрын
That driver was not very smart. 2 axle tractor,empty container in VERY soft sand, not checking the ground to see if he could get out once he dropped the Id Once again a possible inexperienced driver.I'll bet his boss won't like it when he gets the tow bill.GOOD JOB.

Why are those tow hooks not open to the top, rather than open to the bottom, so straps will not fall out? I asked this same question on another Video, but did not get a reply.
@plazatowing5 жыл бұрын
If you orient the hooks facing open to the top you will very easily tip load the hooks. The hooks are rated to be loaded at the throat. Although it takes longer orienting the hooks opening down provided loading the proper spot on the hooks. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks for watching!

@nabob145 жыл бұрын
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the rotator is capable of side loading at all? If not, the manufacturer should look into a design that could handle a side load. Then you could rotate out to the side to give a better pull angle rather than reposition the whole truck (especially if it's close quarters and can move the truck over!)

just out of curiosity the hooks you put in the bumper why did you install them like that? and not the other way?

Although it takes longer and is more cumbersome, installing them this way ensure that the hooks are loaded in the throat of the hook. Flipping the hooks, they can easily be tip loaded and broken very easily. Thanks for watching!
