Hey Captain Boeing and FO, I personally didn't think that was too bad! May not have been the softest touchdown, but, hey, they're not always going to be butter soft! There are lots of other factors to consider -- weather conditions -- plus, the possibly having a full load of cargo! All things considered, I would have been pleased with this! Nicely done! Inside the TDZ, exiting the RWY @ the planned point, firm, positive, seemed a little bumpy & gusty from the high terrain to the S. No airspeed calls or glideslope warnings. That’s a stable approach. ❤ I see a good landing.

Is it normal for the a/p to come off at minimums? I thought the aircraft had to be config to land at 500'?

How heavy could it be ??? He got a 5 call out on the radio altimeter - you almost never get that. Sometimes if your sink rate is too high you skip the 10 call out . I think the landing was great ! Thanks for sharing !

"5" callout is a customer option. Most 747s do not have a "5" callout.
