You ride a 250 two stroke for a month stright then hop back on the 450 your be way faster but more importantly way smoother! I think you should ride a 250 two stroke all the time unless racing.

Yeah u think life is interesting,I grew on a four stroke back in 1978 got my first bike and it was 75 XL 125 Honda,it did have some benefits over the two strokes around that time,I was young and not in to having a built race bike yet,this bike was not a MX bike,but it had the MX frame from the CRs so it did handle well,I some how got the idea to change the rear sprocket from 52 up to 60,I remember my friend had a Rickman and it had a giant rear sprocket,on my four stroke it really woke it up,plus I broke the stock pipe riding in the snow so it got a hooker headers up pipe and that also help,but the main thing was the cheing shin paddle knobby rear tire so now I was really getting traction too...just a gear change mainly and a tire and I could run down an RM 125,1979model,getting into MX racing I had to learn how to ride a two stroke,it talk me a while,but I did I learn how to ride my 96 Dr 250 by studying slow motion SX videos of McGrath,I got it dialed and now were back to four stroke a fungoul as we say in Italian,by the way that two stroke panic rev don't sound as nice as the four stroke panic rev so four strokes got that but I still prefer the two stroke sound overall,theres just something odd about the sound of the four stroke bikes,the traction and the power and the modern suspension is all national caliber,but I still think it sounds odd kinda like a lawn mower with a partly cracked exhaust,I would still ride either I'm not racist towards oil or no oil,but I still like the fun of the two stroke,I can't believe that they got a four stroke to rev as quick as two stroke,just incredible,unfortunately it cost so much and sad they don't last any longer between rebuilds that's the part that really sucks.thanks for the history lesson,umm ur welcome.

I just figured out that they cut the rear silencer and made it a shorty. If you google 2018TC 250 you will see how much longer the silencer is. Youcan checkout deans bike it's in the description and you will see. I guess that's why it sounded so raspy.
