Can you really blame her though? She's got crappy parents (and YES I'm including Charlie in that following his reaction to Jacob sexually assaulting her daughter) and for the most part crappy friends. Being a Cullen means not only being with the live if her life, but also with a pretty cool family who also happens to be filthy rich. Even taking into account the downsides of being a vampire, from Bellas perspective it's almost a fairy tale. And really when she does change, she still gets to have a child plus she even gets to keep Jacob and Charlie in her life. I think from Bellas perspective she would have sacrificed more by NOT becoming a vampire. Plus, there's the whole part about the Volturi killing all of them too if she doesn't. That's sort of the elephant in the room.

I think by the middle of Eclipse (in the book) Edward realized it was wrong, apologized, and made an earnest effort to change. The girl that gets killed from the vampire army is from a short story called The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. It’s obviously a sad ending but I really enjoyed the tragic short story. It also gave more insight into how the vampire army came about. Thanks for making this series. It’s been so fun to watch!

But I think the difference is halfway through Eclipse Edward realized he was wrong, apologized, and corrected his behavior. There was actual character growth. Jacob kept on trying to force Bella to see things his way, and I think that ended up really poisoning their friendship.

Twilight would have been so much better if they were just a polycule. Have a dramatic moment where instead of Jacob imprinting on a whole ass newborn baby, he’s looking at both Bella and Edward together at the same time and he has a vision showing that he imprints on both of them. It makes sense actually! Cause Edward is gone somewhere else in the second movie so after a lot of that drama and when they’re going to have the moment where Bella chooses Edward over him instead he shows up and imprints on BOTH of them and runs away all conflicted and confused and shocked. The drama!
