Social conditioning. There is still a lot of discrimination against us queer people. And we are always aware of it. Also it takes awhile to get used to something that people like queer people are not used to. For decades it was significant other or domestic partner. Its still very recent that marriage has been allowed, and thus many are more used to using the term partner or significant other. It is sad but true that all this goes into thinking what we call people, espically on national tv. Hopefully one day we wont have to think about that, but until then we have to think about things others dont over just the littlest things.

What a grubby situation. Incredible that you would meet somebody and immediately invite them to store your RV on the property. It seems really reckless to me. How did they plug into the utilities? Were they going into the house for showers? How did they get so involved in such a short time? Lending the car and paying for the dental fees. How was he receiving mail there? Had be registered at their address? Madness. It was sneaky to involve the police and get him to The Grease Monkey under false pretences. The whole thing seemed like a bad idea in the first place.

@@getin3949 I suggest you look into who pays Social Security. When you work, you pay those who are receiving Social security at the time. When you receive Social security people working are paying for you. It is not that way though. You won't believe me so I suggest you look it up yourself. Or here read this.. Social Security is not a savings plan. What you pay into the system does not go into an account for your retirement. Workers in each generation finance Social Security payments for their retired elders and other beneficiaries. Down the road, their benefits will be paid for in turn by younger workers.
