Why they need 600hp on a van is beyond me. Like you said, increased range would be more sensible. Halve the hp and increasing the range to 300+ would be great.

1:20 difficult in the US due to so much red tape and regulations, but easier in China and others who just care about getting products made. (and yeah yeah, i realize subsidies are in China, but still, the US isn’t as friendly as it could be for emerging businesses.)

Could Rivian buy them? Rivian already makes the amazon vans, maybe they could mass produce these for fleets as well (with 250hp and 350hp variants).

Needs a gas generator like what Scout is doing. That’s what all these EVs that want to be adventure vehicles are missing. 500+ miles of range with gas generator would start to bring some of us in.

They should have made a dedicated ev rv. Corner that marker. They have the platform for it and there are no ev motor homes in america. Making it something to target blue collar utility type people is an uphill battle because they tend to prefer what they are used to and comfortable with. But an EV motor home? That would make them iconic and give them the ability to expand into other segments, such as ambulances and U-haul😊

It’s not easier to launch an EV because the cost of designing it and building the facilities is astronomically high. It’s just cheaper after all the profit level is higher than a combustion engine. Once you begin to sell enough of them that’s the problem they’re in.

Well....Elon loves EVs. He likes the competition (supposedly). Maybe when he is in charge, whatever capacity that is (they're just making it up as they go along), he can help companies like Canoo, because we know damn well he'll do things to help his companies. Maybe he can also do away with the dealer lobbyists so more manufacturers can sell direct to consumer. 🤷♂️

They just need to add a small gas powered range extender to that off road adventure van. Adding a bigger battery to increase range would make this vehicle too heavy, and weight is the enemy in certain off road situations.

For a designer who mainly talks about the look of cars, your video title is very misleading. "Not looking good" without any additional context other than a thumbnail picture highlighting hand-drawn red flowing lines around the bodywork instead e.g. dollar signs with exclamation marks: one could judge immediately that the design of the Canoo is messed up. "Canoo" is not even in the title! But you actually say the opposite in the video: "Not looking good" refers to Canoo's operational strategy, profits and margins. Not design! Clickbait title, which sadly happens more and more on your channel lately. Although I'm interested in Canoo, you amost got a 👎 (didn't click it because the video is in fact good, but was this close at the beginning)

The public is wising up to the fact that EV resale value = junk. ANY open seam to a battery housing from poor manufacture to minor fender bender will endanger users from explosive chemical fire. Until battery tech changes it's going to get worse for EV. manufacturers who dont have gov't subsidizing them.
