I’m 6wpp and I breastfeed and pump 2-3x a day but only pump one side a day. I also use a haakaa while feeding her. I make about 15oz extra a day and have 412oz of frozen milk.

Hi! Do you happen to have any videos on pumping schedules on longer shift jobs? I’m an emergency room nurse and work 12 hour shifts. With my son I definitely think returning to work is what ended my journey faster than I wanted to. Pregnant with my second now and the formula shortage definitely has me doing my research ahead of time to really set myself up for success this go around. :)

I had great milk supply month 1-3. I’m at week 5 and it sucks !!! I know it’s my fault because since I been back to work I got like 6 hours before pumping again. But is it gone forever ?
@NewLittleLife
@NewLittleLife 3 ай бұрын
No, it’s not gone forever, but you will need to get back on track as soon as possible! The longer it’s low, the harder it is to get it back up.

This is embarrassing to ask but how to know what my flange size is and what pump size to use for my size?
@NewLittleLife

The pump doesn’t matter, but you can measure the nipple and that’s a great place to start! We talk about the whole process (and so much more) in my program if you want to take a look www.newlittlelife.com/pumping-for-working-moms

Why do you say power pumping isn’t a long term solution? Also, I am three weeks postpartum and I still have not been able to up my milk supply whilst feeling a bit defeated. 😢
@NewLittleLife
@NewLittleLife Жыл бұрын
I mean you don’t need to power pump every day long term. It’s a short term technique. At 3 weeks postpartum, you’re milk supply hasn’t regulated yet, it’s still trying to figure out how much you’re asking for. Are you not making enough for your baby?

@@NewLittleLife I am not making enough for her. Right now I can only get 1 oz per pump of around 20min. If I power pump I might be able to squeeze 2 oz out. This is the work of 90% of one boob also. I have to supplement about 60% of her milk with formula because it’s just not enough. Nothing seems to work. I drink at minimum 100 oz of water. Have 3 square meals a day and try to stay away from caffeine. I also power pump twice a day. Nothing works.

I'm 6wpp and from the 3wpp I only get 1oz per session at day time and only 2oz once at morning. I'm really v stressed about it I try to pump every 2 n half to 3 hrs but same condition 😪 Only take long gaps of pumping at night (4-5 hrs) using spectra wearable pump.

I Am pumping for last 5 months, tried everything still I can only pump 600-650 ml per day. I pump 6 times a day and 20-30 min each session 😢

Pumping 7 or 8 times a day would probably help you, although I know nothing about your situation or history!

I started pumping 1 months after delivery After delivering my baby Till then I was giving him formula bcz even after feeding for hours he was cranky and hungry Then I went to the lactation consultant and got to know abt tongue tie I got the tongue tie released, I did all the exercises and whatever I said, nothing favoured me and then I switched to pumping Initially I pumped for 7-8 times per day for 2-3 weeks output was 400-450ml Then 6 times a day

How to know if the breast is empty if milk will always come out?
@NewLittleLife
@NewLittleLife Жыл бұрын
You’re breasts are constantly making milk, they’re never fully empty! A better term to shoot for might be a “well drained breast”.
