Not Quite a Chateau DIY 186 - A visit to Chateau de Lalande - for Afternoon Tea and Champagne

We spent a wonderful afternoon at Chateau de Lalande , with Stephanie and Philip of The Chateau Diaries. We were treated to Tea, cake and champagne, and Philip gave us a grand tour.

We are Tony and Jane and we are living in and renovating our old Relais De Poste/Coaching Inn.
We live in the middle of France in a region called The Berry.
We have over 40 rooms to renovate so there is plenty of work to be done. We also love to trawl the local Brocantes, flea markets and antique shops for quirky furnishings and furniture.
We love to find out about local history and often visit other peoples buildings including our friends’ Chateaux.

That was a lovely summation of your visit to LaLande Jane, I can only imagine how enjoyable it was for you, Tony, Patrick and Stuart. The afternoon tea fare looked so scrumptious as did Stuart’s great Coronation cake. I thought I saw Tony checking out the metal work on the inside of the Chapel doors too? My Dad was a welding and panel beating tutor and I’m sure he would have loved watching Tony doing all his ironwork etc. Congratulations on your first premiere Jane. Most of the vlogs are too early in the morning for me to join in the ‘Live’ but I watch the episodes later on the TV screen. 👏👌🙏🏻❤️
