Hi Lesley, I used to dabble in doing car boot sales for less than six months, mainly due to our British weather, but I always dreaded that moment of stopping the car. I met up with another lady and we found ourselves at side of each other a few times and we start meeting up a short way from the sites and going in together. We made a decision to go and get a drink before opening our cars, giving time for the 'hordes' to move on and we could get our items out without to much hassle. It made it a much easier and a pleasant experience, as much as doing a boot sale can be! Managing a few rounds of crochet. Not done any since early January, so enjoying it. Doing a row or two then taking a break. Just making granny squares to make my granddaughter a bag for her holidays later this month. She has started crocheting, but decided she wanted to make a present for a school friend instead of her bag. So Nanna will do it and it will be a surprise for her. Have a lovely week. We are off to see Aladdin on Thursday evening. Looking forward to it. Take care xxJane 🐑🌼

Glad to hear your boot sale went well and the weather was kind to you! It sounded very well organized and not like the “free for all” that we did before moving house which was very intimidating- and not repeated! Himself always seems to find a wool shop for you! Hi Lesley, Good to hear the bootsale went well. A bonus that the weather was pleasant. We're in Buxton this weekend. I have birthday money, so I will probably come home with a souvenir. It's our wedding anniversary on Sunday 34 years, time flies! Have a good weekend. X

A little chuckle here when you were talking about the Adore Dream colorways and you said they might not go in the same project.....but then they might! True to form, Lesley. G'd on ya! I enjoyed hearing about your trunk sale. Sounds similar to the flea markets over here in my neck of the woods. (Who knows why they're called flea markets.)

We have swap meets, yard and garage sales but this sounds more like our flea markets . I did a garage sale once and didn’t like the experience. Glad yours went well.

Boot sale is news to me. In US have garage or tag sale.usually on Friday and Saturday with the end of sale being half off or take it if you need it. Some whole towns do it same time. Takes a lot of time but sometimes get incredible bargains or just the arcane bit you need.
