Lomography 800 - Some say it's a more affordable Kodak Portra, others disagree.
Where do I stand in that debate, find out my thoughts on this question and more.
What is #filmstocktryouts ?
It's basically, Me, a photography enthusiast, (if you can call spending most of your spare time
and money on anything to do with photography, photobooks, cameras, lenses, tripods, etc. an enthusiast.)
I live in China, which affords me the awesome opportunities to try out many
film stock options from all over the world.
This video is me sharing my experience shooting this film and the results with YOU!
So, hopefully, you may have more or less (Hopefully the former and not the latter.) of an idea of what the filmstock can produce and also for you to enjoy some photography inspiration.

Good video Darren, I would say however, when you show an image, don’t cover yourself up. Maybe reframe the talking head so you’re left or right of frame and then put the images into the dead space. Also, don’t worry about talking too quickly, your accent isn’t strong enough to be an issue, just be yourself. Finally, I think you should rate the film in the videos in regards to latitude, grain, contrast etc. Like I’ve seen you do elsewhere on social media. These are useful videos and they deserve more views.

I read somewhere that lomo buys in bulk the 35mm 800 speed kodak film that kodak uses in their little disposable cameras and re-spools it.

I read that as well, but what I find strange is that the filmstrip has no Kodak markings or anything. So does Lomography buy blank filmstrips from them and then cut the sprocket holes themselves?
