Danny responded by getting up from behind the desk, dancing and professing his undying love for her in amazingly heart-warming fashion. This is both a happy day for me and a sad one. Happy that I've gotten to see you 2 become such big dwarfers, and that you've reached the end of series 11. Sad because this might me the last time I see you guys react to Red Dwarf. Why? Because this is how far I've gotten in the show. Haven't seen series 12 yet nor the TV movie, and don't know when or if I will see them. So for now, this is the last time I'm watching you two react to this hilarious sci-fi series. It's strange, I've been watching Red Dwarf since the early 90s while you two are newcomers, and now soon you will be passing me in my Red Dwarf knowledge. Amazing! Have occasionally watched you guys react to Star Trek and Doctor Who, but was never a regular viewer nor a subscriber until you guys started doing Red Dwarf. This is what everyone wanted , back to the boys from the Dwarf . This series has been classic RD. This one used the polymorph to good effect the female version of Cat used all The traits of his earlier character . The next series was filmed simultaneously and released a year later . Loving the Kat fangs, love to see Paula with an ' H ' next time . Your reactions always cheer me up .

Series 11 & 12 were filmed together in a block of 12 episodes they just split them into Series of 6 afterwards and released them a year apart.

Series 11 & 12 were actually filmed back to back, so there was less focus on making this episode feel like an ending to the larger show. While the whole episode, and the concept of the Polymorph in general, are heavily inspired by Alien, my favourite reference is Rimmer's line at 7:15, which is directly lifted from one of the film's most iconic scenes.

The "Cat being a virgin" plot point came from an unproduced season VII script, where the Cat becomes fatally ill and the only way for him to be saved is for him to have sex. By the sound of things, it was going to be quite a big expansive story and ultimately got cut for budgetary reasons, but it's interesting to see the idea get revived here nearly 20 years later.

I always thought it would have been a good gag for the show if they would have had two cats. It could have been an endless supply of jokes with each cat character trying to grab all the attention just like a pair of real house cats. Have to admit the woman that played the lady cat did a really good job mimicking Danny.

a Doctor Who villain..... it in fact is! it was used in the rings of Akhaten in series 7. A lot of the production staff who work on Red Dwarf also work on Doctor who most notable Mike tucker who made all the ships in Red Dwarf, he did all the model work. He also worked on Doctor who as well.

Getting close to the almost end. If it's possible, could I suggest a couple of different UK shows for you after this? 1st is the oft mentioned by Paula "Death in Paradise" starring Danny John Jules. A fun murder mystery of the week showing Cat in a very different way. 2nd: Blake's 7 an old 70s British sci-fi show that may be curious for both of you. It's sorta a UK Trek, but not as you'd expect

A friend of mine met Hattie Hayridge. He said she was really bitter and uncomfortable to talk with. It was at Bournemouth Comicon. He told he he though she was brilliant as Holly and she snapped back words along the lines of “yeah? Well the makers of the show obviously didn’t think so because they haven’t asked me back” and that was the end of that. It was clear that she harboured a grudge that she was dropped after series 5 and made no secret of how bitter she was.

They actually made S11 and S12 in the same production block; well they did have a break for Christmas which technically demarcates the two productions, but some filming for both series occurred in the other block. I believe Craig Charles only agreed to quit Coronation Street so that he could appear in Red Dwarf if it was a guarantee of 2 Seasons. Highly sensible as Corry was a steady gig, and this forced Dave to do two in quick succession.

It's actually been a couple of years now, but I don't discuss it as much here on the channel. It's been a little difficult with the "Gallifrey Gals" label that we've had for so long. But I started to put it in our little name overlays. But, yes! I am non-binary :) I've never truly related to "gender" and when new* words were found for it, i was like, "Woah!" *New-ish cause obviously discovered that it's actually been something commonly used for a long long time!
