Hey Jack. Just a suggestion, but you need to cross over your chains from the vehicle to the caravan. It will help catch the van in the unlikely hood of the hitch seperating. 😊

Hey guys, thought I would throw a couple of suggestions to help you with the acceleration issues. First thing I would do is pull the fuel filter to see if there is water in the trap and if the filter is getting clean or clogged. Second thing I would invest in is a scan tool as the LC will have an OBD port. Carly is a good option as you use it through a phone app. Sometimes sensors can start to play up but not set off the engine light as they will sit as pending. I am positive it is a fuel issue and that’s why you are having issues when loading the engine up. I had a similar issue after refueling and ended up pulling the fuel filter that had 2000km on it. The filter was black and gritty, and water trap was almost full. I ended up having to drop all the fuel out of the tank because of it. You don’t want to keep running it under load if the fuel is bad as it could potentially damage the fuel pump and injectors. Anyway I hope this helps you out. Love the videos on both channels.

Hi guys love your KZbin channel, The only thing is with the lock 🔐 outside the van , if someone comes along at night they can lock you both inside by putting a screwdriver in it and then you are locked in. Sorry if this sounds weird but a lot of us care about you both take care 🦘🦘🦘🔥🍷🍷😃👍🌼

Jack, we've had the same problem with contaminated fuel immediately after refuelling. We had to replace both filters... problem fixed. We now carry spare filters. P.S. love your channel (s)

Great episode. Your channel is just lovely. Over the past few months I’ve watched 3 different Chanel’s now where someone has mentioned older men making some pretty ordinary comments which made those making the Chanel feel pretty uncomfortable but felt they couldn’t say anything. I’m an older woman myself and my dad would say stuff that would honestly make me cringe if he was still alive. Maybe the comments from troupy guy weren’t that bad but, I think of grandsons and wanderer if they could say “I really don’t like that or that’s not ok”. Maybe I’m overthinking it but I really felt for Megan and how it seemed to make her pretty uncomfortable. Anyway great vlog and thank you for sharing.

That thunder!!!! About a month ago I got singed by lightning standing by an open house window!!! I smelled burning hair, my face tingled on that one side and my occasional irregular heartbeat went away!!!! Incredible!! We all have stories and I love following yours!! Happy days!!

Water is in the fuel. Stop at an auto parts store to get some alcohol. That will help combine the two. Happened to my brother who had to put a lot in to get going. Might be your case also. GL Thanks for your video!

Windscreen chips!!! Got more a few fays after I replaced the windscreen. Bought a cheap chip repair kit from an auto accessories store. Fixed it asap before it cracked across the whole window. Can barely see any damage once done! Windscreen's still all good a few years on with multiple chip repairs undertaken.

Hi, Yep! This is caravaning! The good, the bad and the ugly! My husband said because there is no fault code it could be, and sounds like it could be the turbo hose has come off. They still run but at a reduced power. It’s worth a look. Good luck safe travels.

Guys.. my Navara did the same when I towed my caravan.. I fuelled up and it did exactly the same thing. It was fuel filter clocked by bad fuel. Put Nulon deisel cleaner in your tank and change filter

Ahhh, this made me homesick, although my stretch of the Murray was further east. Those storms do tend to follow along the river up there. Think I said this before but I’ve been watching since way back and it’s so great to see how comfortable u guys both are with the talking on camera now compared to when you were starting out. Change both fuel filters, get some fuel doctor and check the map sensor filter. The map sensor filter are prone to cracking which creates power loss.

hiya loved the video. We are in Mildura as I watch this video. We are in a caravan park with a pool as its 36 degrees today but will try out Bruces bend later in the week. Until you work out an air conditioner why don’t you try our some Sirocco fans. They work on 12 volt and make a big difference when you have them near your bed. I sometimes use a wet towel or mister and then sit near the fan and feel cold.

You've probably resolved by now but from my experience. Try and not fuel up during or immediately after a fuel truck is making a delivery. I'll generally try and fuel up before the end of the day but if there is a fuel delivery about I'll come back in the morning. During a fuel delivery it stirs up the bottom of the storage tanks and end up in your tank if their filtration system is not functioning correctly. Also avoid refuelling during a heavy ran event. Poorly designed/maintained storage fillers could be positioned in low areas where the water has been known to pool and occasionally get in. It'll eventually settle in bottom of the storage tank below the pickup point. From memory your vehicle originally had a water sensor wire on the filter (for water only not particulate contamination) though may not be connected. It wasn't uncommon for the plugs to be left disconnected, or they don't function correctly. It should have indicated a blocked filter on the dash if contaminated by water. There was also a strainer that would block in the bajo fitting on the fuel pumps on some vehicles that use to catch people out. Fuel Doctor is a good preventative for peace of mind to clean up the fuel system. Some fuel tanks don't have a drain plug to remove water so an additive like the fuel doctor will mix and burn in the engine. Us too, the only time we argue is when deciding on somewhere to park the van, and it doesn’t help when you are both tired and hungry. Great episode though and it was wet for us when exploring that area too.

Yep, you need an aircon. But you'll need to stay at a powered site to use it, or carry a generator. We bought a std household window reverse cycle aircon and fitted it under the lounge seat, with all the necessary ventilation and drip tray....love it! Cheap but super effective!

The Murray River is lovely. We did it from it from Source to Mouth a couple of years ago. A wonderful trip. Make sure you visit the museums along the way to learn the history. And yes be careful where you park under those River Redgums they are very brittle. If you can keep following it the upper reaches are more beautiful the water is crystal clear above the junction of the Darling. You will learn to slow down and Enjoy! ❤ P.S. we have a tracking device in our van which gives us peace of mind when we leave our van. Black Knight is the brand. From WA and doesn’t require a Sim.

Fills up with Fuel, has problems straight away ... Bet my boots there is dirt or scale in the fuel blocking the filter or screens in the tank and injector pump if there is one in the toyotas. First buy a couple of filters then try a new fuel filter, One trick i learnt was to buy half a dozen of the cheap 2 dollar inline petrol filters and keep changing them when you see dirt in them ... they work ok in a diesel but block really easy. when she's empty buy 20 litres and blow the fuel line backwards to clear the inlet screen, drain the tank right out if you have a bung then refill with the jerry can and go fill up with clean fresh fuel... some toyotas have a water trap on the chassis rail but not sure about yours. Good luck.

Great video. Hope the cruiser is okay. Yes old school cars are better than the new ones too many electronics in the new ones. I wouldn’t mind an old school Volkswagen kombi. But they are very rare to come across and if you do you pay way too much for. And if you do find a t1 it’s recked and you got to do a lot of work to get it back to life something I don’t know about restoring cars.

Air con wise look at the portable one you can get from anaconda. Then you can store it easily when your not needing it and it'll not require any holes. Also watching you guys jump at the thunder reminded me of when we were camping in the high country on Friday through the massive storm and we all jumped like that from our respective awnings 😂

OI guys FTE guy here back again with some more advice, maintain the fuel system like they should In my opinion injectors should be looked at every 100,000 km and the pump at 300,000. A lot of times it won't seem to have anything wrong but from my experience you're leaving efficiency on the table by neglecting this. (Specifically mechanical engines rather than EFI) Seems the first part of the pump to wear is the advance mechanism, so as the RPMs increase the timing doesn't increase proportionally. This puts EGT through the roof and makes it very lazy and slow compared to one with low ks. Also after 300 to 600 thousand ks, pull the intake off and clean it out, tons of soot will be in there because of the EGR.

Great video. Does bruce blow smoke when giving it a rev? Also, check the boost hoses haven't split or come loose, and if it's a later model bruce, then give the maf sensor a clean as well. Megan tip for when you want to get away from a guy like that is just say you got to do some 50s house wife duty like hey love to stay and chat but i gotta go wash the dishes or do the ironing etc will give you a free pass to get out of there. Also when travelling in vic if there a heap of rain coming and you want to advoid it head south from murray or north from grampians, get in the wimmera mallee area with all that rain you had where i am only got 15mm for the week and sunshine for most of it lol.

Gotta be water in the fuel tank after fueling up. Had the same happen to me in my cruiser however I had a light pop up on the dash and an audible alarm. Strange one, hope it’s sorted 👍

Another great video you had everything packed into it. When you fill up at a servo & break down not long after pretty sure you got some doggy fuel. Always get receipts for the fuel so you have proof of purchase. I guess by now you have checked the fuel filters that's My guess.

We have 100, once went into limp mode due to a fault in the sensor at the accelerator pedal but there can be many other reasons so you get a computer readout from Toyota.
