ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN
I'm a 38 year old KZbinr from the UK. I've got a cracking beard and I'm currently going through the autism diagnosis process. I started this channel back in 2017 and by the time I left my full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July of that year, my partner Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw me because I was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today I'm a full-time content creator and always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. I had this issue with my IPhone. Check the charging slot for gunk or fluff with a torch and compare to an uneffected device. Turn it off and use a cocktail stick and try to gently remove the issue (or blow). Only if that doesn’t work get a repair

Hey Kev! Try using a paper clip to clean the charging port, it might be a big build up of dust, it’s Happens to me quite a lot. Hope this helps!

This charging problem happens with my phone quite a lot - most of the time its just where lint and dirt gets in the port and stops the cable making good contact. It takes a little patience but scraping the dirt out with a pin or similar, then going over with a cotton wool bud dipped in rubbing alcohol tends to solve it

You should try cleaning out the charging port with a paper clip! It may just be dirty! This same thing happened with my phone and worth a try

Sounds like you need to take a teeny tiny screwdriver and clean out the port, they usually get full of gunk and just refuse to charge unless at weird angles.

I've had this issue with Lightning Ports. They gather dust and fluff quite easily, and then the cable doesn't sit in the port correctly. So it could possibly be that. I usually clean out mine gently with a wooden cocktail stick

I had that problem with my iPhone, had to have the charging cable at a certain angle for it to Charge. Brought it in and they cleaned the charging port out for free. And worked fine after that.

Get the magnetic things that you can put in the charging slot so the charger just connects by a magnet so you you don't have to keep removing it from the slot I glued my daughter's in as she kept bending the slot

If not I think repair shops will replace charging port for £30 ish pound or even CEX online will do it and you can send it and get it back in 2 weeks they said when I replaced mine x

Kevin, try using a pin or something for the lightning charging port and try and have a fish, it may just be fluff. Happened to my iPhone and now it’s charging fine

I was on rispiradon and it made me so sleepy and made my prolactin levels go up and made me put on lots of weight. So I ended up switching to a different medication for ADHD (dexamfetamine) because I have ADHD and Level 2 Autism.

i am about 99 percent certain it it will just be a build up of dust/lint which is stopping it from charging, it has happened to pretty much every apple product i have ever owned! I just use a pin and gently clean it out.

Kev, Do you and Anna have time for 'yourselves'? Andy is hard work. I understand.I have a twin sister She is older by 10 minutes, Were non identical, She is in assisted living, non verbal. Mental age of three, went into assisted living at 17 years of age also epileptic. thankfully seizures are few and far beween, years apart sometimes. Im just trying to convey that I know how challenging family life can be From a siblings point of view anyway. I know you & Anna have time gaming together and stuff but I just wondered if you guys have time for YOU! Get a takeaway, have a massage, have a laugh!! , Turn off the tech and enjoy each other! .. I use a 5.1 Cooler Master Masterpulse Headset Personally, but, as I may not be able to use My Speakers in Future, as Our New Neighbours do not like a lot of Noise, and I do not want to be Unkind to them, for reasons that You know, I am thinking about going with a 7.1 Headset as the latest Gigabyte Boards have Inbuilt 7.1 Sound, So I am looking for a 7.1 Headset with *Tough* Build Quality, and full RGB. I hope Anna Enjoys the Headset! Razer are pretty good, as My Old PC Keyboard is Razer, 2013 and its only Recently Starting to go Wrong. Not Pad given the pounding a Gaming Keyboard tends to get! Press the home button and the off button at the same time and hold them till the iPad goes off and then use normal on putting to turn on the iPad and check it is not just a fault. Or even I had this problem with my charging port on my iPhone 11 so new ish ! And the only way it would charge was to tuck the charger onto the case behind the iPad and put the charger in that position x it will charge just faulty xx
